Hello y’all

I bought a new wrangler rubi 21 0 miles. At 340miles i had to get the valve body replaced twice.

Now at 2550 miles, the service department is replacing the engine 2.0 turbo charged because they can’t find this issue with this loud ticking noise. It’s been 3 weeks

Any thoughts or suggestions on what to do?

Keep all documentation of proof and repairs. After 3 issues I believe you can claim lemon law? I would highly suggest researching lemon law.

If the other valve body problem is gone…the other side of the coin is at least they are willing to replace the engine instead of saying it’s “normal” and stonewalling you. Though it sucks, they’re trying it sounds like.

If they are replacing the whole engine, buy a lottery card right away. No fault with the dealer if they replace your engine. A+

This is a good thing.

Option 1. Bring the vehicle in every few months and let a mechanic try and fix the recurring problem.

Option 2. Get a brand new engine and start over fresh.

Take the new engine.

Most members have Jeeps that run trouble free from the date of purchase. Some have quality control issues from day 1.

Make use of the warranty. Get every problem fixed for free. Make sure your Jeep is running properly before the warranty expires.

Let them replace the engine. Once replaced it will be fully warrantied for a year, regardless of your vehicles actual warranty status. You have nothing to lose.

Thanks for replying every one. I will keep you posted to see what happens.
Last info I got was they had order a new engine already and was on its way. Should take a week 1/2 to deliver and a few days to install and test drive it.

Hey everyone! So I finally got the car back in which they replaced the engine and steering damper for the steering.

And well the very loud ticking noise i gone, but there is a new very low knocking noise that comes and goes. Don’t know if it’s normal. I will be posting a video soon. Also the steering is still the same lol. Smh

The car itself runs great, no issues. The only thing that bugs me it’s new with little miles

Hey! The engine was ok at first. It had a minor issue after driving it 200 miles after. I notice this weird knocking noise again but not as loud or consistent as the last one prior to the engine replacement. The gas cap light came on and i wasn’t going away. Then the check engine light came on. Took it to another dealership for a second opinion and it turned out to be evap leak. Something about a purge house in the back of the engine not properly installed. They fixed it and my 2.0 been quiet and running as new again.

How many engine swaps does a dealership do? They seem to have some issues with oil changes… It’s not the dealership making the call to replace the engine Jeep is doing that. My concern would be over the competence of the team doing the R&R.
