I used to think that the 2 dr Bronco was the best looking vehicle out there. Even after I bought my JL in desperation.

But a few days ago at the gas station, for the first time I saw my JL at the same time as a 2 dr Bronco.

And then I realized that the JL is better looking than the 2 dr Bronco. And the 4 dr Bronco is hideous - its a lifted Ford Flex.
I still think the two-door bronco is a pretty nice looking vehicle. But that’s where it ends, when the rubber hits, the road, or more accurately the trail, the bronco just doesn’t have what it takes in my opinion.

It's actually a Ford Flex in drag and wearing platform heels.

In 2-3 years, when the growing pains are (hopefully) over and a mid gen refresh happens, I would strongly consider one in addition to our wrangler.
2-3 years to wait for that is unnacceptable. I've got a very early 1st year production JLUR and have had no significant issues in 72k miles. Surely Ford could have done better. They just did not execut this well, even giving some consideration for the difficulties caused by the pandemic.

That said, I actually like the looks of the base Bronco. Something about its plain and simple look is appealing. But I wouldn't even think of trading a Jeep for one.

It's easy to go up 13% when your starting number is smaller :)
A little yup. Bronco went from sales of 9 thousand in Dec 21 to 10 thousand in 22 . Wrangler went from 13 to 11 thousand .

Have both, love both. I have had no build issues with the 3 Broncos I have had this year, but my Rubi did spend 3 months in service for a PCM issue.....just saying, both have their advantages and disadvantages..... the Wrangler is my daily driver though!

I won't disagree. I am just saying I wouldn't buy a bronco at the moment because of availability and the inevitable growing pains and first generation issues.

The JK went through a very similar life cycle. The JL has plenty of issues documented pretty well on this forum too. To pretend it is a Ford only issue would be disingenuous.

I own a first-year JLU Sahara as well: I’ve had zero issues... once I replaced those cheap batteries after 18 months.

The 3+ year-old Firecracker Red paint looks as shiny today as the day the Jeep rolled off the showroom, and the vehicle remains totally rattle free.

I’ve been known to trade vehicles every 2-3 years, but I don’t really want to get rid of this one.

Keep it! It'll go the distance! I've got a 15 year old JKUR with 180k on it and it still runs like new. The JL is better in every way and I think it will last even longer.

Gorgeous Jeep! Love the rims!

Ford is really struggling to resolve production issues for the Ford Bronco. Customers with reservations and orders for the 2023 MY must drop main features such as Sasquatch Package, MIC Hardtop, and Lux Package. Ford is giving options to modify their order remove the constrained options, purchase a different Ford, do nothing and lose private offer for 2024 MY, or simply give up and buy a Jeep Wrangler/Gladiator.

I really do want Ford Bronco to succeed as a legitimate Jeep competitor, but its production issues aren't helping. People who been waiting for years to get the Bronco, IMO, will simply get tired of waiting and buy some other vehicle. Buying from dealer lot inventory is an option, but ADM gets in the way.

Source from our counterpart @ Bronco6G: $2500 Order Modification to remove constraints.
hmm alright.

I'm one of them. Sitting side by side I'd have taken the bronco. But I'm not playing the waiting a year and a half or adm game. So the rubicon won this round.

The bronco is a legitimate competitor. And it's supply issues will not last. But for now it is what it is.
Ford also dropped the ball with the maverick.

I have zero product loyalty and have owned a number of vehicle brands. Next time I'm in the market the decision will be made by what is available at that time, not because of some pitiable bs brand loyalty.

I will add though, that recent experiences in what most would call slightly higher end vehicle dealerships make me to never want to go to a more blue collar dealership again. Where some f%%% tard tells me about how I should feel lucky to pay 5k over sticker and $800 for nitrogen in the tires.

But my deal on the Jeep was done before I walked in the door, limiting the amount of tom foolery

Broncos selling Jeeps? True in my case. I was dead set on a Bronco a few years ago, but in the end, I couldn't wait and instead, bought a Wrangler JL a coupla years ago.

In my garage, there's an old C5 Corvette and the 2020 Wrangler. Someone asked me which was more fun, and the honest answer was, "The Jeep." I wish I had bought a JK instead of an Xterra back in 2006.

Did Bronco really sell you the Jeep, or just lose taking a potential Jeep customer ? In other words, would you have considered a 4R, LR, etc. instead of a Jeep if there was no Bronco? ? Edit— It has occurred to me that the premise of the thread is incorrect, Bronco isn’t selling Jeeps, they are just not taking as many Jeep buyers due to their incompetence.

What the hell, I'll weigh in. I really liked the base Bronco 2 door and had one reserved. While waiting, I had a BMW X3 PHEV which was really boring but I loved the EV-lite capabilities for my short driving habits. If Ford had a version of the 4xe, I might have been tempted. I tend to be brand loyal but I'll likely go with whoever comes out with a solid fully electric version first.

Disclaimer- I said I'd never own a 4 door wrangler or an automatic. Have one and it's a game changer.
