Keep telling yourself that as our resale values tank.
That's a bummer, but I've never thought of a car as anything more than a very expensive expendable. Even though I love my Jeep I've always thought of cars as a kind of scam. You lose a huge percentage of resale value on day one, you spend a lot of money on insurance and for most vehicles it's still really just a way of getting your butt from point A to point B.

I kinda feel sorry for people that see vehicles as nothing more than something to get them from point A to point B.

I think the Duck thing might be fading out. At least around here.
It's funny you should mention that. During those occasional instances when I glance at the dashboard of an oncoming Jeep (IOW, a random sampling), most of them have a row of ducks extending from one side of the dashboard to the other. The splash of color is impossible to miss. Their popularity seems undiminished.

With the recent death of the woman who started the trend, I've been wondering if the frequency of finding a plastic duck on one's door handle will start to taper off in any substantive way. Time will tell, I suppose.

You have a lot of people to feel sorry for. The top 25 selling vehicles for 24 have PU’s at #1, 2, 6, 8, 24 with transportation vehicles like smaller suv’s, sedans, and Tesla* next. Larger suv’s start at #12 with the GC. The only enthusiast type vehicle is Wrangler at #25.
* enthusiasts ?

None... but it pays well.
So far my Trumpenator bobble head has detured many a duck. I was going to use it as a gag to take pictures of jeeps with it on hood. Sort of like the Travelocity gnome.

Especially since I see so many non-Jeeps with a dashboard full of them... I saw a beat up Buick with a dashboard full of them the other day... Looked ridiculous...

Hope so...two days after getting my Rubicon I had one on my door handle. I thought it was a Bronco owner making fun of me! My dearest wife of nearly 50 years told me its what people do to other Jeep owners...then I started paying attention.
Dag nabbit they were everywhere on girl driven jeeps. Some of them all the way across the dash.

Then I saw it...a Pink Rubicon...holy crap!

Being being a man from different time era's I thought wow is Dej Vue just mores expensive.

Beware men they did this to us in the 70's when they started riding pink stingray bikes with barbie and flower imprinted banana seats and pink streamers stuck in the high rise handle holes.

Is nothing sacred for us boys? I suppose they drive sticks too!

Oh good, that'll make it easier to give mine away.
