Added MaxTrax recovery boards using TrailRax mount. Wanted to help balance out loading especially when I am solo but I will probably move them to driver’s side. Too much blockage of my line of sight.

Running out of OEM Aux switches so installed a Voswitch JL400 grab handle switch. Will be much easy to flip on/off my driving lights and ditch lights as they are not street legal. We live in a semi rural area so nice to use to spot deer and such before they splat you.

Oh yeah… Testing some Rock Sliders for Northridge4x4. Been a couple months. So far so good except I don’t like the exposed pinch seam. Might fabricate a plate to cover.

I guess I better update my build thread… falling behind.

Oracle flush mounts swapped out from red to smoke to further purge exterior clashing red.

Whoa! The tinted lenses really look great with that color!!! ?

I think I am finished with my lift, suspension, and steering mods. New Dynatrac ball joints, SteerSmarts Yeti XD sector shaft brace, tie rod, and drag link. And I swapped out my Exact Center Steering Stabilizer with a Fox ATS stabilizer.

I absolutely love the new feel!

The Steer Smarts rod ends + Dynatrac combo really is a good one. Glad you're digging it!

Okay more additions since the steering mods. Been focusing on making this a combo rig. A Rocklander I think is the term.

First thing… I moved the TrailRax/Maxtrax set up from the pax side to the driver’s side to reduce my blind spots. That didn’t last long when I found I could store the traction boards across the roll cage. Quickly realized this is flawed because once dirty… now what?

Found a bag and they are inside and dirty.

Next add was a bougie Ecoflow Glacier fridge/freezer and yes icemaker! Pairs nicely with Ecoflow’s Delta 2 Max power station. What I like about this set up is the power station is sandwiched between the driver’s seat and the fridge. The handle on the fridge actually rides snugly over the top of the power station so it is trapped.

This has become a full time feature now partly because I am lazy… but then I installed an Ecoflow Alternator charger mounted just behind the pax seat on the floor hardwired to the Jeep battery and I now have 800W of charging when engine is running.

Before adding the Ecoflow Delta 2Max and Ecoflow Glacier in the back of my 2dr with rear seat gone. I decided against a cargo floor system for three reasons.

1. Weight… trying to keep my vehicle as light as possible and still be an overlander. It is also a toad behind my small Class C RV and I am pushing my towing and combined gross vehicle weight

2. Cost… good ones are dang expensive and I already have sunk a ton of money in mods and equipment.

3. Loss of cargo volume due to the raised floor… although there are some nice conveniences.

So the rest of the cargo space is dedicated to my recovery and camping gear. I found two collapsible containers from Costco that wedge perfectly between the fridge and the pax cargo wall. Super lightweight and I can stack on top and strap it all down. I like soft sided bags and totes that can conform and thus hold more without bulky unforgiving walls.

Inside the camping tote… pillow, tent, Jet Boil stove, small lantern, collapsible pot…

Well very much enjoying my Epic Kraken Tire Inflation system and decided to upgrade it after visiting Epic at the Overland PNW in Bend OR.

Necessary, no… but now I can turn on the underseat ARB compressor, push one of the presets on the iPhone app, and my tires all inflate until auto shut off kicks in. Best thing about this at the end of the trail is it doesn’t interfere with my beer. Here is the kit. Quality stuff. Great video by Ginger on install.

Another don’t need must have mod I discovered at Overland Expo PNW, was Dometic’s Go Hydration Jug and Faucet. I now have running water on my tailgate! (Yeah used some Click Bond fasteners as part of the install… shameless plug).

Jeep Wrangler JL Dragoneggs Build Thread IMG_1018

Pulled out my plasma cutter and cut and bent up a support to fit the Dometic magnet support on the tailgate flat spot…

Dometic 11L jug sits wedged behind my pax seat much like the power station on the other side.

I'm checkin' out that alternator generator. Have you used it much yet? Thoughts? I have a Delta Mini in each Jeep, so a charger like this might make sense.

Don’t know if your Mini is compatible but if it is… it is awesome… game changer. Use it regularly and no issues. Love it.

I'll contact Ecoflow and find out about compatibility before ordering. We shall see.
