Hello
When it rains I get water coming in near my shoulder on the drivers and passenger door. It only seems to come in when driving.

I’ve read that the weather strip on the freedom panel can go bad causing water to seep.

Has anyone had this issue or fixed this issue? Not sure if I should pull the weatherstripping on the freedom panel and apply new or just add another layer.

either way anyone had this or have a fix?

thank you.

My 24 does this occasionally when turning a corner in the rain. Doesn't bother me enough yet to take it in for the warranty

You’re really not going to like the fix for this.

lol. I’ve actually attempted the “bend the door” option but there is no way that the door was bent out of place that far and it didn’t do much anyway. Besides, it happens with the passenger side too occasionally.

anyone replace the freedom panel weatherstripping or add extra weatherstripping to prevent this?

I placed 4 gift cards taped together under the lever on the outside rear freedom panel. This has fixed it for now. Dealer ordered new freedom panels and they did not work. The have had my Jeep for 7 Bdays now, little do they know I only need them to have it for 8 more days before I file a Lemon Law case through the BBB…

I should add mine is a 2024, did this since new

For me, It seems the issue is somewhere where the freedom panel weatherstripping meets the door jamb rubber (1st pic above). Not sure if shimming the freedom panel is it’s tighter will help me in this case. Has anyone replaced the weatherstripping on the freedom panel with positive results?

Learned today that Chrysler issued a TSB for this leak and it involves installing some foam pieces. Of course the dealer said they were gonna email it to me today - never got it, call me surprised

That’s a terrible TSB. A temporary patch to get someone past the warranty. This is a failure that will eventually occur on every vehicle built with this design.

Just started happening on the passenger side of my 22. Hasn't bothered me enough yet to mitigate it.

Pulling this back up. I’m thinking of replacing the stripping on the freedom panel. Anyone have a fix? Or think that’s a waste of time?
