RK no limits…..it’s a dbl heim joint style link… its designed specifically for the Rubi disco..

There’s a lot of misalignment when you’re articulating Offroad using electro disco and the links are attached….. Icon makes a cheaper version….here’s a pic of the regular style link and the no limits, you can see how much misalignment that occurs……

Since the links that came with the mopar kit are only about 7.75", I am wondering if the Icons will work if I decide to swap my springs out later with Metalcloaks to add another inch. The icons show they are 6.75" to 9.75", so I would think it would work fine. Unless I need to get the Jeep up on a hoist and disconnect to confirm??
I guess cycling the suspension would be the correct way but I have to believe the max length would be enough.

yeah, that sounds like a whole lot of BS. Your end links shouldn’t ever be bending. I’ve only ever heard them bending when things were *breaking* or about to break. Like over flexing and then the sway bar goes the wrong way.
If you're like a lot or newer vehicles and have the plastic end links then you can definitely get better performance from switching them to a metal link. Our Jeeps don't have that problem but the Renegade used plastic links.

Now with PLASTIC, I would absolutely believe them! But metal links? The stock ones were fine. Unless someone dented them.

This might be a stupid question but I am wondering if the new icon sway bar links would cause the Jeep to feel like it’s floating a little more. I had issues with a shop installing metal cloak ball joints and an alignment after I did the icons.(I have another thread about this).

I had another shop redo the alignment and they said the toe was out. It seemed to drive a little better after the corrected alignment, but I still feel like it’s floating and wants to wonder on the highway. I am actually not enjoying driving my Jeep right now because of this.

So, I am trying to figure out what may be the cause.

I would have a hard time believing it affected the ride noticeably. What angle is your sway bar at, is it fairly level/slightly up or angled waaay up? Pics?

Agreed, I switched to EVO sway-bar links because of the heim joints. I run Metalcloak and love there stuff but felt the original links they provided were binding with all the flex the suspension system provides. With that said, I did not notice any difference with the on road handling of my Jeep. I would make sure you have enough caster if your Jeep is not handling like it was.

I would say slightly up.

The caster was the first thing I was concerned about. However, they set it to 6.4 and 6.6 if I remember correctly.

I found these Yeti links and wonder if you guys agree with the claim.

"You will notice a decrease in body roll and an overall improvement in handling and drivability when adding this kit to your Jeep"

"You will notice a decrease in body roll and an overall improvement in handling and drivability when adding this kit to your Jeep" - - - compared to what?

On a winding highway compared to no sway bar links at all? Probably. Compared to other non-adjustable sway bar links, unlikely.

That’s the right range with a lift. The sway bar has no real give except for the amount of up and down built into the vehicle. All the heim joints do is allow more articulation under extreme flex. In a normal driving environment they should just transfer the vehicle’s body movement in a straight line with the axle. The only way to rule out the links is to put your old ones back on and take the Jeep for a drive. I just don’t see how they would change the vehicle handling that you described.

I would do this however, I had to drill the holes out to install the icons. ?

Yea I wasn’t excited about doing that but every aftermarket company uses 1/2”studs so they all need it. At least the sway bar is soft metal, took 10seconds to drill.
