i'm not overly keen on the new taillights, they remind me a bit of the Renegade's X taillights which I don't like. .
I actually really like those tail lights. Kind of wish they looked even more like the Renegade's lights.

I'm not sure it's really the tail light design that folks don't like. It's more the fact that the Wrangler would be getting a "hand me down" from the Kia of the Jeep lineup. If they came out on the Wrangler first I personally wouldn't mind. Having a design feature that appears to be borrowed from the Renegade I don't like. More opportunity for the aftermarket companies I guess.

i suspect you're 100% correct. It's that perception that makes someone say they don't like them.

These clear/red fuel can lights have been my fave so far.
They aren’t fuel cans, they are Hourglasses to remind you that the JL is just months away... weeks away... days away... :time:

That would be cool if Jeep had sand filled into the tail lights of the mules, to signify time left. :cwl:

Kind-of like Ford showing 1964.5 miles on the odometer of a Mustang in a photo shoot.

Agree !00%. Those would be my pick (hope they're an option, regardless of model). Different strokes, I guess, but I associate the clear lens with sportier/performance trim levels from most manufacturers. The red ring around the predominantly clear lens hits the sweet spot for me.

Didn’t notice it until you pointed it out, and yeah that IS a nice feature especially to avoid getting it in open windows.

Love getting the outside dirty, but nice to keep the inside, and particularly your co-pilot a little cleaner, especially to avoid hearing about her hair for the rest of the trip. :asshat:

Dirty hair?!? I can't even get past getting wind blown! Tried having her wear a baseball cap, didn't work as she was afraid it would blow off.

Got to keep the passenger happy. The Jeep I had prior to my 07 Rubicon was a basic stripped 4 banger (97). Was out in the desert (hot and dusty) had the hard top on with the windows open. After the run my wife asks if I can add an air conditioner so we could run with the windows up, air on and be dust free. Needless to say I said no - not with the little four banger. She then says you need to look for a new Jeep. I took advantage of that moment/comment and ordered the 07 from the factory. She jokes that the Rubi was a $30k air conditioner :)

One of the beautiful things is the fender design pushing the water and mud away from the edge of the vehicle.

Great find, Ahmed! I'll bet we'll hear less complaining about that feature, now that we know it has funtion and has little to do with form or styling. That is pure Jeepness, my friend! Great to see FCA gets it, maybe more than ever. I'll bet there are many more of these details yet to be discovered.
