Kinda wish the windshield was completely flat. It’s better than the JK’s, but not completely flat to the point where it has perfect reflections like the G wagon

Thinking now about grabbing some of that clear paint protector film for my rear flares on my new JK. Lame but easy.
Actually, I think that is an excellent idea. I'm going with the standard unpainted black, but if I get a wild hair and change my mind, I'm going to do exactly this. Thanks!

I actually somewhat prefer the look of this rendering. The fender DRLs are integrated in a more sleek way with no black lip. Bumper looks much more upscale. Rock rails look good too.

On the rendering, I don't like the sharp edge to the front fender flares, the cuts on the rear side glass, or the Euro-style gap filler on the bumper. I think that rendering's wheel size and the way they fill the wheel wells would be good for a Sahara, but not a Rubicon.

Honestly, I like the lip on the fender flares on the real deal because they offer function for splash deflection, even if it is minimal. I also like the flat hood better than in the rendering, and the body line above the door handles. I'm more worried about wheel offerings on the real one. I'm not liking the polished lip. I do like that they will offer the KO2 on the Rubi. I'd love to see the KM2 or new KM3 as an option, though.

I was expecting them to bring the offroadability of the current Rubicon to the Sahara, while taking the JL Rubicon offroadability to another level. The KO2 should be optional on Saharas, IMO. But yes I do agree the cut on the rear window is ugly.

The Sahara has always been the grocery-getter trim level. It has always been about creature comforts.

Take a look at the special edition Saharas though. The Winter edition, Chief edition, etc. That is what, I think, the Sahara should be.

Just noticed this too!
Wow, you really notice the difference in the bulge on the mesh vented one in that second shot, it almost seems ‘featureless’ and would lead me to believe that the top one is the HR equivalent and the bottom the standard Rubi... although it might be more based on engine cooling / dome space requirements more than trim levels.

Personally prefer the Red one’s styling, but hope the balck one’s mesh insert are interchangeable so I can run the mesh in summer which might work better for crawling and idle, and then the louvres in winter (like I do now with moded / not).
Although if they are direct replacements for the current 10A I’ll just keep whichever one the JL doesn’t come with.

I think it may be different engines? V6 vs V4 or maybe Diesel?
