The OP's question regarded reliability, regardless of his intentions on this forum. I've had 2 4-Runners ('06 and '13) and 2 JK's ('09 and '12). While my JK's were not plagued with issues, there's no question in my household, the 4-Runners were 100% trouble free (never even a hiccup) while both...
I'm starting to think my new engine might be a 3.5L Eco-Boost! Raptor's beginning to tempt me as I'm likely gonna be in the mid-50's by the time this JLUR's add ons trickle down to the bottom line!
This whole "not-so-revealing" reveal was pretty much a major letdown wrapped in a fustercluck for me. Maybe a few months of slow but titillating leaks was like seeing all your Christmas presents early, only to wake up Christmas morning to find only socks and underwear under the tree. Why on...
I live in Rochester (about the same snowfall as you, EZ) and around here Ziebart has a kinda bad reputation. For a bit more $, I like the ceramic coating. Unbelievable shine, sheen, salt/mud/rain/ice/snow protection and never need waxing (a real bonus given the Wrangler's small but complicated...
Red JLUR standard flares kinda hitting the sweet spot for me. Wanted the highlines originally to capture that "Safari" look, but the lower front flares seem to give a better balanced profile view. I'll have to keep an open mind (meaning wait until I can see them in person) to make my decision.
Toyota's FJ Cruiser did an admirable job in color matching the body with the dash and some accent trim. I think the JL's new interior design could crush the FJ's in spades if Jeep's design team was inclined to mimic that concept. Just not sure they'll want to copy their former nemesis.
Don't give up hope just yet. Remember the 10A JKR red interior? I'm hoping for a 15A JLR next year that might revisit that rich red interior. I'm a sucker for a (well done) red/black combo interior and the JL's new design seems ideally suited for that look. Fingers crossed! :fingerscrossed:
Loved it! Loved all my red cars. I think the new JL pics we've seen in red look awesome. The only thing that will prevent me from ordering my new JL(U)R in red next spring would be if they announce a 15A edition with the same deep red interior option as the 10A had - then I'll go with either...
Had an '09 Flame Red Rubi 2-door. Drove it pretty aggressively (well, as much as that old 3.8 would allow!) and never had even one pullover. Wrangler folks and cops seem to get along pretty well around here and I suspect in many parts of the country.
Now my '03 Imola Red M3, slightly different...
Hopefully the Sting Gray is the color of that hood with the blue. And the other hood punk'n
Respectfully, I disagree. It's all a matter of personal preference. I don't think we need another metallic silvery gray tone (be it light, medium, or dark). Rhino and Anvil were so distinctive because...
Completely agree. And, as alluded to, if you go Rubi and and it turns out you're unhappy with it, you'll do much better on resale/trade-in than with the Sahara. Around here, used Rubis don't last long on dealer's lots (nor do Sports). Saharas seem to linger awhile.
Likewise. Had a '94 Saab 900 Turbo convertible in that combo - a real stunner! Even my '96 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition in the green/camel looked pretty damn good in its day.
Truth is, I could be happy with a few of the color choices when I place my JL order. But if it's the right green...
At first hearing Mojito Green, I envisioned a sea-foamy/tropical/caribbean not-at-all-what-I'm-looking for kind of green-ish, but your comment about the yummy mint leaves (of course, one of the main ingredients!) has made me hopeful it might be more of a British racing green, like the mint...
