DEF system removal.

Wow. Some of those muscle cars could almost catch a stock 4xe.
53 years ago. Now just about any V8 will catch stock 4xe, is there a non-stock 4xe?

I think my 78 CJ 304 V8 had like 140hp?

Beyond being completely illegal, you'd need a tune to remove the DEF related DTC and limp mode. You don't even need to physically remove the DEF system, just a tune to disable it. Again, totally illegal.

Any v8? In the GC, the 4xe is almost a full second faster to 60 than the outgoing v8 5.7.

I don’t recall your CJ being called a ‘muscle Jeep’ either.

Nah it was broke down jeep most days.

I am not talking about stock I am talking high performance V8s, comparable to what they were trying to do in 1970. Today they are crazy power.

Usually the other subset misread or misinterpret arguments, some do it intentional. They usually always have something in their counter stance centered around clean air and that anyone against their position is not on the moral high ground. It’s enjoyable to read their stance as it always goes back to hive mind talking points that were well crafted for them. It is expected as it is the new normal. The flaw with that logic is that it lumps everyone into only one mindset category when that is just not at all true in reality, but they want to ignore reality.
Most serious tuners do not want to just dump extra fuel, that is irresponsible and for show not go. I want just the efficiency and go power. These machines do not need all the inefficient DEF and EGR systems, they’re a manufactured point of failure and extra money source. I digress, I am not working anymore to bring anyone to my side. I do what I do because I want to do it.
? End of thread, as far as I'm concerned. ?

EPA this, EPA that .... EPA can hold my nuts.

Just because alphabet boys say it's illegal, does not make it such. Administrative agencies and bureaucracies do not have the power to create law on their own. Do not cower to nor live in fear of said fools.

As with all things, use your judgement. I digress. :)

[This is not political discussion. Just giving life advice.]
It is illegal per Clean Air Act, and EPA is tasked to enforce that law. So, no EPA does not make law, they enforce a law.

As an owner of a unicorn 2006 GMC LBZ, I have zero worries about emissions, as it came from the factory with none.

I've been running my 2021 no egr/def about a month now. If you can figure out how to do it, DO IT. It's better for the environment, better mpg, longer lasting engine and more power. It's really easy to do, don't be afraid!

This is why I kiss my wife and kids every morning before I leave for work. You never know when the federal governments fitna role on an honest blue collar American citizen and lock em away for life for not burning DEF. Hard out here for us criminals.

I don't disagree with your thinking, I'm just stating that handing any potential prosecutors a signed confession is probably a dumb idea.

They haven't been prosecuting individual citizens for this offense yet, but that doesn't mean they won't in the future.

At least do yourself the favor and do like I always say I will be If I ever get anything deleted on my vehicle...

If I ever get anything deleted in my vehicle, you won't ever see another photo of the underside of my vehicle, you won't ever see a photo of my engine bay ever again, and I'll never tell anyone I did it. Shit man, I don't even tell people where I got my current stage 1 tune from. There's just some things people don't need to know. And all you really doing is offering yourself up on a silver platter by doing so. Anyone who's interested in it can do their own research or contact others directly for information on such things. But blatantly posting your illegal actions on a public forum that you don't even need to have a membership to view, that's some low brain cell stuff right there. And if it's worth anything, I'm pretty sure it's against the forum rules to talk about illegal activities. It's definitely a surefire way to get your post deleted, at minimum. And potentially a big enough offense could get banned. And let's be honest this forums much more valuable than any bit of information you might want to throw out there to people who don't matter.

You're a relatively new member so I'm trying to help you out here. :like:
