OP Update:
The wire harness replacement did not fix the P206D code. It threw this code again within two days of picking it up from the dealer on March 13. With a Moab trip coming up, I didn't return it to the dealer until after the trip.
While in Moab, many additional codes started popping up in addition to the original P206D. The jeep operated fine with the exception of my right front ABS acting up dragging this brake only, to the point that the rotor was 1300 degrees F while offroading at times. On-road, this ABS problem, similar to the P206D did not occur.
Dropped off at dealer on 4/10, and will pickup 4/24. The dealer replaced the PCM, and said they were able to reproduce the problems for the first time, with the Jeep on a lift and wiggling wiring under the jeep around (simulating offroad use). This time, they feel confident that the PCM has been the problem all along.
Only time will tell.
