I no the M.O.R.E seems to be really popular, but, not sure I want the half sized pedal. I mean I have a full size foot, not a kids foot.
That won't be a problem. You don't really use the bottom of a dead pedal anyway. The ball of your foot is on the pedal and your heel is on the floor mat. A benefit of the M.O.R.E pedal is that it gives you the option to use the pedal or extend your foot under the pedal flat on the floor. Changing your foot position like this can be nice on long drives.

I just ordered the Quadratec dead pedal for my JT and put the Armorlite flooring on my wish list for the JL.

lol. I dont get it?? If you want a third pedal buy a manual! Leg room is limited. Why muck it up with junk.

There is a built in dead pedal on my manual transmission BMW 325. It’s great when whipping the vehicle around twisty canyon roads at high speed. The dead pedal is not a “third pedal.” With two hands on the wheel, left foot on the dead pedal, the right foot can float and do what it needs to do while your three other limbs hold you in place while the centripetal forces or gravity are working to pull you out of the seat.

I also installed the Quadratec dead pedal and pad. But had it powder-coated black (and purchased black stainless steel bolts, washers and locknuts) to match the gas and brake pedals. One of the easiest mods for a non-technical person.

Armorlite. Love it too. Much more effort though required to install it than the dead pedal. I also put in Desert Does It seat jackers while doing the flooring.

Picture of the back seats for you as well.

Oooh I do like the look of those. Presuming you had to remove the bottom layer of carpet? I already have some all weather mats the carpet mats, but I don't love the carpet base layer sitting under them, seems unnecessary and could get water on it. Is removing that what's hard to do? (at least the part where the all weather mat sits).

I also didn't realize there were drain plugs in the rear. I know about the ones in the front but I must've missed the thread in my search that pointed them all out anywhere else.

It’s not hard to do. It just takes time (4 hours for me). You have to remove the interior trim pieces because the Armorlite goes under the trim just like the carpet does. Once the trim is off, taking out the old carpet and putting in the Armorlite is easy.

There are a few threads in here where people have more detailed reviews on the whole thing if you search Armorlite. Overall, I love it and would not have a Jeep without it.

Valid point and I did think about the limited space and being able to stretch your foot out.

So question for the quadratic guys, can you lift the pedal up while driving for a bit then push it back down. Even though it looks like from pic.s that there is room to maybe get your foot in between the pedal and brake pedal to stretch out for a bit.

I have the quadratec and love it. I am 5' 8" and laugh at you guys 6' ++ complaining about not reaching the back wall. I don't have a chance in H*ll

it does lift up easily to take out the floor mats and vacuum. I can't see doing it with your foot while driving but I guess you could. I am not sure how safe that would be.

I will say I left it up once after cleaning out the mat and it didn't interfere with my feet.

Thanks for the response. It's kinda an extreme case I just wanted to know if it was possible. But I don't see why as long as you don't make it to tight that you couldn't get your toe under it and lift it up for a bit to stretch out then push it back down into it's normal position.

Again more a curiosity thing you might want to do on really long trips where you just want it out of your way for a bit. Even though I really don't see it being a problem. I had a 2004 mustang which had a factory dead pedal and I don't think had any more side to side space then the Jeep (Maybe less) and I never had an issue finding a place for my foot and being able to stretch out.

Thanks all for the response's.

I’ve never needed to while driving nor been curious. There’s still plenty of room for me to flat foot if I want. It is easy to lift up when vacuuming.
