Hey guys, wondering if anyone has had this happen to them and what if any damage was or may have occurred. My wife called me at work and said she was stuck and needed a jump, I had just sat down to lunch so I ate a couple bites and gathered my stuff and headed her way, meanwhile one of her co-workers apparently decided to "help" her. When I arrived my wife was just starting the Jeep so I thanked the guy made sure she was good to get the Jeep home and returned to work. When I get home to check things out (going to load test both the main & aux batt since they're almost 3 years old and 40K miles now) she informs me that the guy hooked the cables to the Jeep and when he hooked them to his truck he connected them momentarily backwards on his end (after assuring her he knew what he was doing!). Thoughts?

if it runs and everything works it is probably fine. There is a fuse array of high amp fuses located on the end of the power distribution center ( under the 6 or so studs with wires coming off of them. ). if no start or stuff not working. start. by checking it first. .

It got her the 10 miles home and I started it and brought it in the garage since it's going to rain here tomorrow when I plan on load testing both batteries which are probably due to be replaced anyway.

Yes, thats the proper way & the notes idea is great! I also instructed my son to never go solely by the cable color as a lot of people replace cables and dont make sure to use proper colors for pos/neg - though as my co-worker says when I'm being picky about wire color on a test cable or some such "the electricity doesnt care what color the wire is "' :)
