Thanks - I appreciate the input. I have an appointment with Jack Powell/Escondido CA on Jun-26 for the initial service and to address this rattle.
Curious if you ever got a fix for this and if you could share what it was?

Has anyone had a rattle behind their drivers side vent. I have not taken to the dealer yet as I'm not sure I want them pulling apart my dash if it is something I can fix.

Mine sounds like this with a little squeak, checked the windshield and speaker. Can’t find anything loose.

Any update on your rattle?
I have the same exact rattle in my 2018, but slightly less constant (for now). Wondering if you or a dealer found a solution at any point.

Thanks in advance.

For what it’s worth, my rattle turned out to be the sunvisor on those standoffs attached to the crossbar of the windshield. I put some furniture padS on them and that took care of it

Thank You,
I took off the visor and it's still there. I may try that tomorrow, but I'm starting to think it might be the plastic trim panel the two hex bolts hold on around the visor metal arm.

It seems loose and if I hold the visor arm up towards the top of the vehicle, the noise goes away. Positive pressure on it seems to work.

I'm thinking of taking the panel off and putting some tape or felt around the edges to see if it solves the problem. The nuts are tightened, so that's about all I can think to do.

I'll update if it works.

Note: I've already tried the zip tie method on the coolant fluid tank under the hood to no success. Found that here: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...ttle-from-driver-dash-area.12073/post-1092861

Maybe that will help someone else out as it seems it did help @jeepfan30

I have not done anything about it. It did not seem to be as bad during the colder months but it's back now. I plan upgrade the stereo and will take a closer look while I have the dash apart.

I also have a rattle in the back that I am pretty sure is the flaps in the tailgate but they are annoying.

Update: Fixed

I tried a few things including the screws holding the visor on.

For the visor, I did find the screw retaining clips to be very loose and causing a similar noise when rattled by hand. I decided to gaffer tape the two clips down and put the screws back in (before and after pics attached)

This resulted in the rattle noise, but without the metal sound (almost muted).

I finally tracked down the primary source to the hole for the freedom panel. The panel would vibrate resulting in it hitting the holder and thus the sound. Tape around the nipple for the panel fixed the issue (pic attached).

Hopefully this helps someone else out. There are many things that can rattle in a Jeep.
