If they don’t your insurance will probably cover it. Mine did. Cost me $100 for factory glass. You pay more for gorilla glass but it’s not much better than stock
That's assuming your insurance covers windshields.

If you don’t need to recalibrate anything you can get an aftermarket for $250-$300.

Mine was cracked had it replaced under warranty with the nearest dealer to me and was no issues at all. After that was done I installed Exoshield on the front windshield and has been doing great stopping rocks

I’m waiting to see if this is covered. The dealer took photos and sent them in for approval. The 2 year warranty for gorilla glass says larger than 1” and less than 3” for it to be covered.

I would have that filled as soon as possible to prevent further cracking. most likely a good chip repair it won't be visible just in case they don't replace it.
The crack eventually ran but luckily the dealer was able to get a new windshield approved under the warranty. However, the windshields are on back order.

So just an update on my situation. Took it in on Dec 23 to have them look at it and determine what needed to be done. They took pics and sent it off to Jeep. They approved it last week and I took the jeep in on Thursday. They called Friday and let me know it was ready. I came to pick it up, they handed over the key. They did let me know that first thing in the morning jeep came back and denied the claim because it was out of warranty. Apparently they went to a 12 month, 10k mile warranty right before I got it. Service manager said he wasn't happy with jeep since they started the process a couple of weeks before the warranty ended. They are fighting jeep and are eating the cost if need be. I got my jeep back free and clear with a replacement windshield. And Stellantis wonders why their brand is going to shit

I have a gorilla glass windshield in a 2024. It has a 2 year warranty as shown below. I went to Ancira Jeep in San Antonio. Took 2 days to get it approved.

Interesting. I'm in ATX. Probably should've made the trip south.

It still says it's a 2 year warranty. No mileage limits.

Following.

I went on a 3200-mile round trip in my brand new 2024 JLU with 3k miles on it.

112 miles into the trip, a semi kicked up a rock and caused a chip. 15 minutes later, it spread to a J-shaped crack.

When I got to Arizona a couple of days later, the crack went crazy sitting in the driveway in the sun and went all across the windshield and many different directions.

My dad owns two Wranglers and said he'd never seen anything like it. He thought the glass was seriously defective to crack that badly for no reason.

I have a $100 glass deductible, but hoping my warranty will cover this one.

Gorilla glass is apparently a scam, as I have never had a windshield crack this easily or badly in 40 years of driving.

you might need to adjust your expectations; Gorilla Glass windshields have exactly the same Soda Ash glass as their outer layer as any other windshield, and will crack just as easily.
the fact that the Wrangler windshield is nearly straight up and down just makes it more likely.

the bonus feature of Gorilla Glass is supposed to be the additional strength of the inner layer helping to prevent the likelihood of an object coming *through* the windshield (and the fact that they're thinner and weigh a little less).

Just had safelite replace my windshield. They didn't use oem. I've had a lot of windshields done by them and they've never done this before.

I called and complained and they are replacing it with an oem windshield

I would highly recommend putting a film over your windshield to protect it. There are several but I have been using racing optics and I have yet to get a crack or chip with it installed. Just talked to them at winter 4x4 jamboree and he said their product will soon be a Mopar accessory. I would definitely give it a look. Several of my buddies run it too and haven't had an issue either.

Interesting. It lasts around 18 months?

I guess it depends on if it's your daily driver or not and how much time it spends outside. Ours is in the garage most of the time except when out exploring or camping. We live in Colorado and ours has had the film on for almost two years. I pealed the first layer off last spring and I'll prob peel the next layer off this spring. So ours gets hammered with the winter roads heading to the ski resorts etc and constant use from the windshield wipers clearing all that muck!
