Proud member of the club here. Two months in and I saw the rock coming. Good to know I'm not alone but damn.

Everyone insist that they get the OEM windshield, no aftermarket junk.

Two days ago had an errant rock smack the windshield on the highway....sounded like a bullet! then I see a nice spider of cracks about to start spreading among the surface but it did not spread. I called a company named safelite and they came out to where I work and did a resin pressure fill and it hopefully will stop it from making any journey across the windshield! Specially now that it is winter and the temps are in the 20s and the heat will be cranking. I did buy the oslo tool separator to fill the holes at the cowl duct and works perfect...and I can remove it with just one hand rather than grabbing all the small plastic bits which I also purchased but like this better for it's ability to just pull out in one piece.

The OEM junk is cracking when it gets cold and/or hot small rock gets close to it so I have now joined the club this Friday I will try an after market windshield this time 2018 JLR ordered 1/24/2018 delivered 7/4/2018

Day 27 with 940 miles in on a brand new 2020 JLRU and a rock hit my windshield and left a nice 9-10 inch crack. I think I'm going to use the baseball rule, three strikes and you're out. I'll just replace it after the third strike since Jeeps are prone to having cracked windshields.

I had a rental JLUS in Colorado which got nailed by a rock, so you can count Avis as part of the club now too.

Good morning everyone!!!

Jeep 2019 4 doors Moab edition here, with the Adaptative Cruise Control, just loved the car 5000 miles and of course huge crack on the windshield, but not anymore
Yesterday Safelite replace in my parking garage the whindshield(yes, same one, the acoustic from Mopar with the jeep small logos) and around almost two hours,(not easy at all trying to cut the molding from the factory) it was ready to go.
Also, is the first Jeep with Adaptative Cruise Control camera that they did, and just to everybody know, no need to remove or touch the camera. Just the plastic cover around the camera to be able to cut the inside of the windshield. Also no camera calibration required, due to camera attached to the structure of the jeep ;-)

Rock came out of nowhere on the Kansas Turnpike while cruising at 80 mph. I thought I had been shot it was so loud! That was a week ago Tuesday. Had Safelite fix it on Friday & they did a nice job, too.

Monday morning driving into work in the snow & discovered a nice crack coming up from the bottom of the glass up 3 inches and then it took a turn left another 4 inches. Not repairable. $747 for the aftermarket glass to replace. Bought the Jeep in March, at almost 12K now. It has been otherwise brilliant to own and drive.

Why is a flat piece of glass so dang expensive?!? My buddy’s CJ7 was $45 to replace his windshield.

Defrosted my windshield yesterday, will now be windshield #3. Lol I’m still in the laughing stage. We’ll see how long that lasts. It’s only the 2nd time I’ve used the defroster, in fear. I’ll have to read up, but I think that’s happened to others. Weak.

Update - Found a local company that can do $179 installed non-oem, closer to $350 installed for a Jeep logo windshield. I can live with that.

Does anyone know if the OEM glass (with advanced safety) is back ordered? i have been waiting on my glass insurance folks and they say not available now until mid January. It's been constantly slipping.

Joined the club...way earlier than I liked. Picked it up in Idaho and driving to Texas, stopped over in Phoenix to visit family, and wham...a car in front of me threw up a rock on the exit to the house. Made it 1,000 miles.
