My 2018 JLU (Punk'n) has some bubbling on several door hinges, on a couple of door edges AND on the front left edge of the hood...a couple of inches away from my custom decals. I cannot imagine that by 2018, a long-time manufacturer cannot figure out how to properly paint a vehicle....and ESPECIALLY for the price they charge for them! Off all of the issues that COULD pop up, paint is the last thing I would expect to be a problem with my Jeep. I have not been to the dealer about this yet, but it's on my to-do list. I'm not expecting much based on other comments I've read on the forum, but I'll try and post my results.

Here's my thoughts, it has nothing to do with not being able to figure out a fix for the issue.

It has everything to do with the fact that they don't care. They sell so many of these things that there is no reason to fix all the issues that are just pure design flaws, kinda like how we all get pissed on when we open our doors when it's raining out.

Half of my hinges are bubbling on the hinge itself and there’s a decent bubble on one of the rear doors not by any seams or anything.

So apparently I've got the Holy Grail of paint/corrosion issues. 2019 JLUR less than 30k miles. Hood replaced last year due to paint separation underneath the clearcoat and corrosion bubbles. Now the entire jeep has the paint separation issue on the entire jeep. Every single panel other than the hood that's been replaced had this happen. It all showed up while I was away for 10 days.

Defective is paint is rare, but reparable. Whole vehicle needs to be repainted. It was clearly contaminated at the factory.

How about an updated poll... is anyone able to get this fixed? None of the 5 dealerships I've been to will even look at the car. FCA (warranty company) told me directly they don't pay enough to get it fixed, so they're not surprised. I told them I'd take it anywhere and they said they didn't know a dealership who would fix it for what they pay. Where in our warranties does it say the repairs are limited based on the cost of repair!!! That defeats the whole purpose of a warranty. Anyone having any success getting this addressed? I'm sadly at my wits end and going to move on from this car to something that isn't fun but actually has a reputable company behind it.

Hi, I got my 2019 Jeep Wrangler Sahara in the beginning of December and there were no marks or bubbling anywhere. I noticed a paint chip on the passenger door and began to look around and have the bubbling on all 4 doors at the bottom and up the side a little. The hood and back hitch have a little as well. Went to the dealership and it's going in to all get fixed via warranty, phew.
