My 2018 JLU (Punk'n) has some bubbling on several door hinges, on a couple of door edges AND on the front left edge of the hood...a couple of inches away from my custom decals. I cannot imagine that by 2018, a long-time manufacturer cannot figure out how to properly paint a vehicle....and...
Been driving my 2018 JLU since June 30, 2018. (It just hit 44,000 miles yesterday!) About 17 months in, a rock hit the windshield....a crack formed the next day and crept right across the center left to right.
Ironically enough, the dealer where I bought the Jeep had the lowest price - $289...
Maybe I shouldn't type this out loud, but other than the recall (which has yet to be checked), I've had zero issues. I bought my 2018 JLU on June 28 and presently have just over 16,000 miles on it. Guess I have a rare anomaly. Must be the cool punk'n color I chose!
Other than the open recall on the track bar weld issue (which I've yet to have inspected), I've had no issues with my JL. Well, I don't wanna stop driving it, but other than that.... :like:
I'm sure most don't take it personally, nor are we preoccupied. But it just feels good... especially in today's world where most people are just preoccupied with themselves. It's nice to know that most of humanity is still friendly.
Driving home from New Jersey in I-95 the other day, I...
I ALWAYS wave. The response varies here in RI. I probably get a return wave 60% of the time. Once in a great while, someone else will wave first or simultaneously, but I'm usually the first to offer. I'll also see if women wave less often as others have mentioned. Haven't noticed that yet...
Interesting post here. In my 2018 JLU Sahara, I ALWAYS wave. My wife thinks I'm crazy for waving at strangers....lol. The response varies day to day here in RI. I probably get a return wave 60% of the time. Once in a great while, someone else will wave first or simultaneously, but I'm...
Semantics. I didn't say I hit it "while trying to shift gears". I said, "while grabbing the shift." Big difference. No way you'll hit it while shifting (I would hope! Dear God indeed...). BUT, if I have to move my right hand quickly from the wiper lever (or even the steering wheel) to...
I've done both...bumped the volume while grabbing the shift (scaring the hell out of my 7 & 9 yr-old girls...AND me). AND I've been trying to start the Jeep with the radio several times...totally feel like an idiot, but everything is so close. It's like driving a Cessna 172 on the road.
No idea. Not many that I've seen. I'd be VERY curious to know what that number is, too. I LOVE the Ocean Blue, but (including a company van) I've already had 5 blue vehicles in my driving 'career', so I wanted to change it up. :-)
Sure! it's "rudimentary"! In RI, we only have 6 characters. Mine will be on next week....also for a chosen few...even less chosen than your reference: PDLSTL * My wife also thinks I'm nuts...no wait, she KNOWS I am!
This message was typed by a 47-yr old who's owned 7 vehicles since age 16: 4 manual, 3 automatic. Here's what I think (since you asked...)
1. Wranglers are just supposed to have a stick, aren't they?
2. You have much more control over the vehicle because you're actually DRIVING IT.
3. Better...
Drive it every day for everything...including some work. Sometimes I work from home, but weekday highway commute is about 20 miles (one way). Weekend non-highway commute to job #2 is 11 miles (one way). Like others have said, it's just fun to drive!
Had the same issue with CJ Pony Parts. I ordered mirrors to run with doors off before the summer goes away here in New England. I got an email saying they were supposed to ship 2 wks ago. Two days after that, they said they won't receive them from the manufacturer until mid-October....LONG...
