What do you mean that you're starting the process to get a warranty replacement? Didn't the dealer said that it wouldn't be replaced?

I'm just curious for myself...like what if I need a part replaced and the dealer said no. What's the next step?

Dealer did say they weren't going to do anything. When I brought it in I was relatively short on time. I plan to go back, or go to a different dealership altogether, and attempt to get them replaced under warranty. I know to most its minor, but it's not acceptable to me given the car is 2 months old.

I am incredibly diligent to keeping the jeep clean. Jeep has been professionally graphene'd as well. Pics attached.

It almost looks like the finish on them was sanded/rubbed off. Could they have taken the finish off accidentally during the graphene procedure? I assume they had to buff up the paint somehow to get the graphene to stick appropriately?

Definitely there is a problem with yours and the Dealer should replace them if you did nothing to cause that. What is weird - the inset areas are fully corroded and evenly corroded. Here are my 2018 door locks for comparison. Show the Dealer my photos and tell them they need to replace yours to match mine.

The only very minor areas on mine that have any wear is maybe from hitting the key on the outside bezel. The inset areas on mine look like pretty normal wear and tear. If you look at your tailgate lock it should look brand new. If it also looks corroded - that is super weird and would really point towards some manufacturing defect.

Mine get tons on salt and brine solution as we go up skiing and snowboarding around 30x per year. So is pretty extreme and in a very harsh environment. Trying another Dealer may work. Your Dealer sounds like a dick.

You could remove the corrosion by taping off around the metal and wiping with white vinegar or naval jelly. Then add some type of protection to them.

Update - the dealer is replacing. Just waiting on the parts to arrive.
Good that they changed their mind. Sometimes you have to stay on them.
