I bought this ‘21 with 3500 miles “used” at a dealer an hour or so away.

I’ve had one person tell me the corrosion warranty has to be initiated by the originating dealer. Assuming that’s correct, is that the dealer where it was sold new or where I bought it. My memory is fuzzy but I think it was a Jeep dealer.

What’s the first step? Looks look the in-service date, when originally sold was Dec ‘20 so I’m told the warranty is supposed to be good for 5 years from that date.

Warranty is good. Find a dealer with an in-house body shop. Stellantis doesn't pay the dealer enough to sublet the repair to a third party so most dealers will outright reject to repair it if they didn't sell the vehicle. Dealers will body shops can subsidize the labor costs and will usually perform the repairs without issue.

Thank you. That’s a relief so I’ll find a dealership with an in-house body shop to hopefully avoid hassle with where I bought it.

Jeep is in the shop for the second time for corrosion. First time was the old fix, this time im getting three new doors. Jeep was purchased out of state and an in sate dealership has been very helpful. Get it done and get it done early if you have the issue. You will basically get all new panels that have corrosion.

I figured I needed to move sooner than later, for sure.
