What's your take and/or experience with Cooper tires?

My wife's Nissan Xterra has Cooper discoverer AT tires on it. They are 3 years old; they have held up exceptionally well. The traction in the snow fantastic! I think Coopers are very underestimated tires. The Cooper discoverer STT pro looks like a fantastic tread pattern and the white letters are a bonus!

I'm running 37" Cooper STT Pro tires and they are a great tire in my opinion.

The best all-around off-road tire I have used before was Toyo Open Country MTs. I think the Cooper STT Pros are equal to Toyo Open Country MT tires off road, but much better on road. They track straight, with no wandering, no tram tracking, and balanced perfectly on the first attempt. Can't ask for too much more than that. I have 5,000 miles on mine, and it is hard to tell a difference in tread depth between the tires on the ground and the spare tire.

I am very happy with my 37" Discoverer STT Pro tires, have not had any problems with them They have even wear, and are not very noisy unless topless and doorless.

The STT Pros are the best tires I’ve ever run off-road. They handled every thing I’ve thrown at them (including pulling another Jeep out of Windrock). I’ve got a set of Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MTs waiting on my 24 (got a phenomenal deal on them).

I’ll see how the MTs do on and off-road and make my next decision on tires.

While not Jeep related, I just had a set of Cooper tires installed on my Hyundai a few months ago, and they are great, especially for the price. I will be seriously considering them when it is time to replace the BFG's.

I've been running on Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLTs for over 2 years. My local tire shop recommended them and says they sell more of them than the beloved KO2. They are definitely a very underrated tire, but they handle well, wear well and perform well in all conditions. I highly recommend them.

I have 35” STT pro white letter on 2dr Rubi and love them. Only 5k on them but very w quiet for a MT. I shopped hard and did much research to land of that tire.

Very good tire, good running buddy was a Cooper Tire Engineer, and he said it a good quality tire, they build a good tire. I ran a set and found them to be excellent, but for my Off road travels its BFG KM2s.

Having worked at a place the sells Cooper, they are a decent tire. Another one to look at is Mastercraft. They are made by Cooper. More of a value brand but they work quite well and for certain models, better than Cooper. I run Mastercraft on my RV.

I will say, the Cooper CS5 (used on many SUV's and sedans) are garbage. They scallop and get really noisy. The equivalent Mastercraft us way better.

These two tires along with the Goodyear Kevlar MTR were my choices when I upgraded to 37s and after much comparison research. I ended up with the Mickey Thompson because I got a great price on them and the STT Pros and GY MTR at the time were not available. I love my Mickey Thompsons.

I live in Colorado and have run the Cooper STT Pro's for years and they consistently outperform the other tires I see out on the trail... with the exception of the Nitto TG's, which perform about the same.

However, I do think the other tires (MT's) all have more lateral grip in the snow... but that may be due to the fact that all of my Jeeps have been heavy beasts... Running full skids, beadlocks, aftermarket bumbers, winch, spare, + recovery gear/tools.
