I figured that mine costs a little over $2 to charge fully. I don't fully charge every day and I do have a L2 charger so it will finish in about 2 hours. It costs me about $1.90/ charge which gets me 20-25 electric miles depending on the time of year/outside temps. A gallon of gas is like $3.60 for me for similar mileage, so as long as my charge cost is cheaper than the gas, it's worth it. Not going to rake in the savings but I like the way the electric drives for my commuting.
I work from home, but if I had to commute to work and they had a charger there, that would be even better. My town is just starting to get more chargers. They are in odd places, like at Mcdonald's and dealerships. Not exactly in high-traffic areas, like Wal-Mart, Kroger or the mall where folks would ideally spend more time shopping.
