Okay, coming from a guy with fat fingers. Anyone got any tips for removing the Connectors up under the dash that require one to be a contortionist? Need to get them disconnected to connect my Taser. Thanks.

No, but get the extension so you only have to struggle once.

None... but it pays well.
Remove cover under steering wheel. Use a mirror and flashlight to see the connectors. Using a long small blade driver to press the locking tab while pulling on cable will remove the connector. Larger one is easiest. I recommend getting the $20.00 extension cable. It will make it so much easier to remove the tazer and reinstall if needed. You can program and do updates while installed, but much easier to disconnect and do that on desktop, if cable has been installed.

Retired and loving it!
I used to install ham radio equipment in vehicles for friends but those days of contorting myself are behind me. When I purchased my Auto Start/Stop device I had my shop install it for me. Best $25 I've ever spent. 👍

Curse often, question life choices, and get the extension. I loosened the panel where the door is connected so it could open all the way, took off the knee panel. Set up flashlights, took it apart as much as I could to get to it because I also have extremely short fat fingers and it is not designed for us to install the taser. And remember you have to uninstall it if you every time you take it to the dealer so you definitely want that wiring extension before you install it in the future, because otherwise you have to take it out and then put it back when the dealers finished.

This is what I used the first time. They come in handy for multiple situations. But like everyone said, get the extension and make your life easier.

Get a set of 18" forceps from Harbor Freight. Make it so much easier...

I’m Leary of the extension. I used one from Tazer with the mini and had intermittent problems. 3 weeks at the dealer and turned out the extension was the problem. Luckily the dealer didn’t charge me.

It is rare that a extension cable would be defective. Though it does happen with mass production on any thing. Not saying how it was connected was the fault, but with any multi pin cable, how one will pull or replace a connection could make a pin unseat. The most common issue is a pin that is not fully inserted into its connector housing. Most of the time the fitment into its host connection will push the loose pin away from connecting to its mate. I also have seen a bent pin from alignment issues. Fussing with a tight connection is at times a cause of such issue.
