I figure Tazer would say updates wouldn’t work with unit installed. Something going on with the app. Just wanted to cover my bases before complaining.

This thought, that the Tazer JL blocks UConnect downloads and Health Reports, has been dis-proven (thanks to owner feedback on this forum) multiple/many times, over the last 3 years..

And, if a guy/gal does his/her homework on this... and still has doubts.... take the Tazer JL out of the picture......

Leave the Tazer JL married and pull the hardware.... and remember to reattach the 2 cables at the gateway..

As I said, OTA downloads seem to work just fine, even with my unlocked Lite (bought before the Mini was a thing) permanently installed.

However, regarding the Uconnect health reports, it must have just been coincidence then that the only 3 health report updates I got during the year my trial was active occurred at times when I unmarried my Tazer. I'll add that I also spent a lot of time communicating with SiriusXM Guardian, bitching about my health reports/fuel level/oil life/etc features being worthless since they never update. I stopped bitching once I realized the correlation I was experiencing. The only reports that ever seem to sneak through are an occasional low tire pressure warning when I air down for an off-roading trip.

So while it may have been dis-proven multiple/many times, over the last 3 years, I'm sharing the trouble I have experienced after installing a Tazer (as requested by the OP's question). Judging by the amount of discussion that has taken place regarding this topic over the years, I don't think it's really fair to simply write it off as a figment of our collective imaginations. Just too many variables involved.
