Remote start is not available with manual transmission, safety issue, could start in gear so definitely a no no.

You missed the point. The point is it costs $495. But the credit you get for NOT getting it with a manual is much less. I know you can't get it with a manual. Sorry for the confusion.

So...can you plug the Block Heater into the 115v outlet in the Jeep? ;)

Quick question on the cold weather group. Does anyone know if the seat heaters and steering wheel heater comes on when you remote start under a certain temperature, and if it does can you adjust that temperature threshold?

My wife's WK2 does if you remote start in anything 40deg and under. I wish I was able to adjust that up to 50, but it is pre-set and can't be changed.

Yeah, they come on when temp hit's 40 [i think] and it works great. You'll have to turn it down/ off after driving a bit.

Thanks guys I haven't had much time with the hood up yet. Now I know what to look for. Why no info in the manual, (at least the way I was searching for it). Tempature recommendations/ when to use?
If it goes below 0 degrees F (or about -20 C) plug in the block heater about 4 hours (or more) before you want to start the Jeep.

Just remember to use a very long extension cord if you tend to forget to unplug the block heater!

If it goes below 0 Degrees F, odds are you won’t see me till spring. It amazes me anyone could live in that and function.

You’d think they’d find a way to put a light or notification in the instrument cluster when it’s plugged up.

This was last week:

Brrr.webp
I was just about to post..."Yeah, but that's celsius" fully expecting to post some much higher Fahrenheit number. No, no.....-37 C = -34.6 F. Odd.

Cold, none the less. Damn cold!

The C and F scales meet at -40 degrees.

I even had to use some gasline antifreeze this year. I had gotten an Electronic Throttle Control warning light in my car.
