Cold Weather Group Explained

I ordered cold weather group in NC. I wanted heated seats. I will probably never use the block heater.

What deal or did you use? I'm in Raleigh.

I used Tri-City in Eden. PM me if you want the info. Small-town about 1.5 hours from the Triangle. Low doc fee and good prices.

looks like the block heater is no longer part of the cold weather group according to the build and price on jeep.com. I didn't notice any price change. Its now a separate option.

I just checked also and yup it is gone and a seperate option

The engine block heater cord is found under the hood bundled in front of the battery tray.

So I was washing the Jeep today and popped the hood to clean the engine and there was the chord for the engine block heater; not where it was suppose to be. On my Rubi, it’s on the driver side engine bay.

Yes, On the JK and JL the engine block heater cord (if you have the block heater) resides on the driver's side.

Understood. I should have clearly stated the owner’s manual states it’s bundled I front of the battery tray but it is not.

I just got the build sheet for my JLUR with cold weather group ordered 2/26. It does not have the block heater. No problem here in sunny CA, I only ordered it for the heated seats. That was actually a good decision to separate them. IMHO.

That's odd? You looked for the cord wrapped under the hood?

My only criticism is that they should have contacted me to see if I needed it. At least it’s easy to add later if I get sick of the Left Coast sunshine. (Grand kids here, not a chance )

Have only gotten the build sheet to drool on so far. No visual confirmation yet.

I disagree with it being a good decision. It might have been for you but not for me, plus It was listed and included when I ordered mine. What will it cost to add it after the fact in terms of money and time at dealer. It is wrong to delete or change what someone has already signed on for

I completely understand that. It would have been better to separate originally. It may come with mine, but is not listed on the build sheet.

My window sticker just got published today. It shows the block heater under the cold weather group along with the price increase(s). Ordered 2/23
