So here is mine. I am going to the dealer Monday for another issue so I will add this on. Hopefully they can get it handled. Only hear it at low speeds.
Sounds exactly like my issue.

Mine is at the dealership right now for the same thing. I showed the service person the clicking noise and he agreed it was not normal and they are looking into it. I mentioned how I've been watching this thread and that people have reported success with tightening the ball joints to factory specs but who knows if he listened to me or just blew it off. I'll report back with updates if/when they happen

My JLUR is at the dealership as we speak for the clicking. First they claim they didn’t hear it. Then they did. Then called and said they are charging me because I have 37’s on it. So I told them don’t touch it then. But I have had the click for 2 months now at full slow turns. I’m gonna try and tighten up the ball joint nut myself and see. Jeep will give any excuse to not fix or charge to fix a simple problem.
Let us know if you can tighten them at all and if anything changes. My buddy was listening for me yesterday and said it sounded like it was coming from the passenger side. I have 35's so hopefully they wont say anything to me!

Got a call from the service dept. that said they diagnosed the problem and they are ordering replacement left and right front bearing hubs. The ETA on the parts is 2-3 days so let's see if this in fact the problem

They replaced that on mine. It didn’t fix the problem. It’s still there trying to find the issue.

I wonder if it could be the cause on mine. When you picked yours up was it still making the noise? I will definitely test drive it when I pick it up from them to make sure its gone. Trouble is that this falls in between two trips for me and I don't have unlimited days to leave it there for them to troubleshoot. Service depts. are the worst :headbang:

They actually called me and said it didn’t fix it. I did then drive it myself and it still did it. So far they haven’t been able to fix any of my problems. You’re right about dealer service departments. Tomorrow is the last day they have it and I might have to pay myself to bring to another non dealer mechanic to get stuff fixed.

Are you saying tomorrow is the last day you will let them keep it? How long have they had it?

You also said that the service dept. originally claimed the clicking sound was normal but luckily when I took the person for a test drive he was like yea thats not supposed to be like that so maybe my issue can be solved with new bearing hubs.

Either way pretty bad and hopefully @JeepCares could expedite shipping of the bearing hub assemblies to help get me back on the road

Tomorrow is the last day I’m letting them keep it. Been in and out for a few weeks. Yeah originally they said nothing was wrong, then I had their lead mechanic go for a ride with me to show them myself. So far they said they tried many things including everything people have posted here as possible fixes and none have worked. I drove mine when parts were ordered so it didn’t just sit there. Unless my issue is my Jeep just getting replaced with more defective parts, I guess that could be possible since so many are having the same issues.

Stupid question, how do you tighten the nuts kn the ball joints. If I’m looking that the right parts they have pins, so I’m not sure if I’m looking that the right part or not.

Not a stupid question... everyone needs to learn at some time :)
Yes you are correct, the ball joint nuts have cotter pins to keep the nuts from turning. You will simply need to straighten the pin and gently tap/pull it out then tighten the nut. And as another poster said jack the jeep up so the tires are off the ground so there is no weight on them. Probably over kill but a simple extra step.

What I need to find out is what the torque is for that nut. I plan on doing it myself since I put a lift on it and I don't feel like hearing the dealership trying to say that's my problem, even though it existed before and they could never replicate it. I doubt they would give me a hard time since they have been super cool and responsive to all of my issues but there may be a protocol they need to follow, plus if I take it that's one more day I have to run around for an apt.

Yep, mine just started clicking last week. EXACT same sound at slow speed turns. I leave a parking garage every day so the acoustics are good and I am driving slow, can hear it very clearly now. This forum is awesome :)
