Check the cotter pins to see if they are moved or replaced and not in the exact same position. You can’t tighten the ball joint nut without removing that pin
My dealer told me the same thing and I told them the same as well. Yesterday, I took the wheel off and tightened the lower ball joint nut. I turned it and out 1/2 a turn. As I was turning it, it made the same sound. That fixed the clicking.
I love this place. I was able to tighten the ball joint nut on my own and the clicking went away. Bad news is I broke the cotter pin. I’m sure it’s fine for a day or two. Till I can get another. Home Depot didn’t have any. Thank you everyone.
Looks like Sunday I’ll be taking my wheel off and tightening up the ball joint nut as well. Hopefully this solves the issues we all seem to be having.
Stupid question, how do you tighten the nuts kn the ball joints. If I’m looking that the right parts they have pins, so I’m not sure if I’m looking that the right part or not.
My JLUR is at the dealership as we speak for the clicking. First they claim they didn’t hear it. Then they did. Then called and said they are charging me because I have 37’s on it. So I told them don’t touch it then. But I have had the click for 2 months now at full slow turns. I’m gonna try...
Has anyone tried the tazer? my dealership wanted to charge me $465 for the speedo calibration and TPMS threshold!! Im going to see today if my computer recalibrate itself i'm running 37's stock right now. Lift going in on Tuesday
Hey guys,
New here picked up my JLUR 2 days ago. Adjusting to all the changes from the JK's. Not even my Kikbax mirrors will work. Any ideas on mirrors to use when the doors are off? The new flat dash should make things much easier.
Also just ordered a 2.5 lift and 37's!!!!
