You need another hobby or a project vehicle or take your Jeep off road and break/bend something so you can fix/upgrade it.
This is the guy that needed epoxy to change an air filter, you sure that’s a good idea? 🤣

If you're willing to spend the money to change the oil so often, you should be willing to buy a good torque wrench. Tighten to 18.5 ft-lbs (25Nm) and you don't have to worry about it so much.

But at 2,000 miles, the filter can be skipped every other oil change without worrying about it in the slightest.

That's what I want to do, skip the filter. But my question was that if you don't open the filter, does some oil stay there even after hours?

If you’re changing oil at 20% of the OEM interval and 40% of the general forum recommendation does it really matter? The answer to your question is very little.

No idea. Bit it's so clean, does it really matter?

***Disclaimer***The following is true but the mileages are closely rounded estimates from my memory***Disclaimer***

I had a 2004 Honda Civic that I ragged on from brand new. Almost regular oil changes between 3-5k sometimes longer. I replaced the head gasket somewhere between 60-75k. Around 90k it started burning oil and by 120k it was burning about a quart every couplefew weeks. This was a time when used engines for this car were around $700 and plentiful. So at this time I started to experiment. Not a good experiment with data collection or anything positive, I just see how much crap I could put this thing through and see when it exploded

From 110k until about 138k, I just randomly added oil when the level got so low, the vtec solenoid would no longer activate and throw the car into limp mode.

After getting tired of buying new oil. At around 120k I did one last real oil change. Then I stopped changing the filter and started using old oil. By old oil I mean all the used oil I had in jugs leftover from previous oil changes, oil straight from the drain pan that was shoved under the tool box, my friends used oil from their oil changes.

Unfortunately, my experiment came to an abrupt end at 138k when, after mistakenly running a red light and getting t-boned and rolled it.

I told that story for no other reason than just to let you know what I would do to my own vehicle. And before saying changing your oil filter every other time will be absolutely fine because with @Jeep Junkie intervals it's still about 4k before the factory recommended cycle.

This is fine and actually, the filter gets more efficient with use. The oil is the most important factor as long as the filter isn’t being bypassed. I use the Fram FE (Fram Endurance) in the Jeep and my daily driver/work commuter car. It’s a 20 micron + filter. I generally stick to a 5k schedule in the daily driver but, here and there, if I can’t replace the FE with another FE because it’s not handy at the moment I’d rather just keep it in there. Personally, I’d only do it once though with a 5k or less schedule. I love the Jeep more though and wouldn’t go past 3k on the oil change or reuse the filter more than once but only in a pinch. And really that’s just because I want all the old oil out that I can get. Now if you pull the filter out that you’ve got experience with and after going through a second oil change with it…it looks like the element is significantly twisted, I might suspect I shouldn’t do that again.

Hey guys I just remembered something. Motor oil geek recently purchased a brand new Toyota Tacoma for himself. And for the first break in oil change, he did not change the filter, he said old filter is more efficient

if you stick with the same oil, do not worry for what is left in the filter.
Thank you. I will not pour the whole five quarts, maybe I will pour like 4.8 quarts to make sure I don't overfill

Guys, you know, we shouldn't be too worried about oil filter. Because our first line of defense is the engine air filter. I remember this summer I did a lot of off-roading, I found a lot of crap in my engine filter including giant bugs. But my oil filter was super clean and oil report awesome
