I'm glad it does not have the name WRANGLER plastered across it as in previous years. I'm not a fan of visible branding in places like that. That's the reason why I don't want the MOPAR door sill guards. But, then again, the well-known after-factory ones are also visibly branded with names like QUADRATEC or RUGGED RIDGE although the latter is not as obvious. The dash grab bar on the passenger side has a different shape on the '24.
Not the same. FAD is front axle disconnect. It's a fuel saving measure they introduced a while back that basically amounts to peanuts in the long run. The good news is there's no more split axle shaft with an electronic motor to move the locking collar back and forth to engage 4wd. The bad news is they still have an over abundance of old axle housings left so they put the new 1 piece shaft in and sealed the hole with a plate. Not that anyone ever doubted the strength of the axle in this area anyway though...right? I'll see myself out.Wait a minute, no more FAD?
Forgive my ignorance, but is FAD the same as the swaybar disconnect? Meaning, the new Rubi's no longer have push-button sway bar disconnect? Or, not the same thing?
I'm also not a fan of logos. As for the sill protectors, I installed these (no logo) and they were just as good as the Rugged Ridge ones I had on a previous jeep.I'm glad it does not have the name WRANGLER plastered across it as in previous years. Ah, thank you. The pictures seem to show the squared corners do not adhere to anything. Well, in fact, it kinda appears like the entire outside edge overhangs the sill. Is that so? Any trouble with the corners or edge getting bumped and lifting or curling up after a time?I'm also not a fan of logos. Has anyone confirmed it is a 1 piece shaft? Driveline on YouTube just released a video of a pre'24 392 showing a 2 piece shaft with a locking collar that doesn't move on the CV axles. The bad news is they still have an over abundance of old axle housings left so they put the new 1 piece shaft in and sealed the hole with a plate. I just ordered a set of JKS Quicker Sway bar disconnects for my 2024. Given this change in bolt size im wondering if these wont work on the 2024. The website just says 2018+ JL. Maybe ill reach out to them to confirm.2024 Changes
- All 4xe comes with the following upgrades standard
- Cast Iron Knuckles (previously only std on XR, Mojave and Eco-Diesel)
- FAD (front axle disconnect) Deleted
- Rubicon Only - Rear Full Float axles.
- Front Sway Bar Link bolt size change from M12 to M14 - beefier compared to previous.
- AMPS mounting holes on the dash - one on each side of the speaker/charger-indicator hump
- 12.3" display - with a fantastic panel (full array dimming - brightest whites and deepest blacks)
- Side curtain air bags standard
- Standard safety - FCW, Adaptive cruise etc.
- Rubicon 4xe Only - Power box (its like having 1300W jackery to use when overlanding - if you went to the location on e-save that is)
I've only owned this Jeep a few weeks, so I don't have any long-term info like that. A similar set of Rugged Ridge protectors I had on my previous Gladiator and they were fine during my 18 months of ownership. I only put these on to protect the paint from scuffs, so they work for that purpose.Ah, thank you. The pictures seem to show the squared corners do not adhere to anything. It's going to be a two piece shaft. That way only a single new part needs to be created (the block off plate with collar locator) rather than two parts (block off plate and one piece axle).Has anyone confirmed it is a 1 piece shaft? Does the Synergy Sector Shaft Brace work with the 2024 JLU?YETI XD™ JL/JT SECTOR SHAFT BRACE WITH FRAME SIDE TRACK BAR REINFORCEMENT BRACKET (2018-2023) - ***NOT COMPATIBLE WITH 2024+ MODELS***
Just found out the Synergy brace doesn't work on the 2024 JL either...Does the Synergy Sector Shaft Brace work with the 2024 JLU?
No note on their site (unlike SteerSmarts, which is now noting the lack of compatibility)
