While interesting, it would be misleading to extrapolate 2-door %s to 4-door.

Two-door Wrangler represents only ~ 10% of all Wrangler sales, and it is not offered in all trim levels any more.

Also, there appears to be a skew towards manual transmission in 2-door's take rate. That alone is going to impact 2-door V6 numbers.

3.6 auto w/o eTorque, 2 door. Took a long time to find a well optioned one lightly used.

2.0T from Italia. Not sure if there's any difference between the US/Italian ones, but I like to imagine mine is upset about being served 87... she probably prefers the finer things ?
Different cylinder head.

I chose the 2.0T over the 3.6 because its 4 cylinders as opposed to 6. 2 less cylinders means weight reduction which means Jeep goes fast.

Two things have surprised me so far in this poll. The first is how many 3.6 owners there are versus 2.0T's. I was under the impression that the 2.0 was the more common engine. The second is how few diesel votes have been put in. I know diesel isn't for everyone but everything I've been read makes it a very tempting option.

I am little surprise as well. The 2.0T in 2018 and 2019 were only available with the etorque and was considered the premium engine (cost more), so perhaps that has had an affect on the numbers.

Just a 3.6 Rubi 2-door...But there is an Edelbrock Supercharger in the garage that I will soon be installing along with 4.88's and a few cooling system upgrades :)

I think 2 things play a role in the 3.6 being more popular:

1. At least through the time i was ordering in 2019, the 2.0 was a $1000 premium which to some was a turn off and not worth it

2. Those who already had Jeeps prior to getting the JL knew the 3.6 has been around for a long time and is a very good engine.

my wife’s 2012 WK2 gas the 3.6 and through almost 150k miles has been a rock. To me there was no contest between the new 2.0 vs the true and tested 3.6 when placing the order.

2.0T. However, I put a K&N filter on it so pretty much equivalent to a 392 now.
If you put the K&N exhaust on it, and replace all the fluids with Lucas and Sea Foam products, you will have much better than a lowly 392. Hell, you will probably have 50,000 hp and 49,780 ft. lbs. of torque while running on ordinary 87E10 pump gas.

My situation was a bit different as I acquired my Jeep through a dealer buyback of my prior car, but my “deal breaker” requirements were 1) a Rubicon, and 2) the 3.6. I left with a 2.0 Rubi.

I’m now at 17k miles and no regrets at all.

Got the 3.6 w/ the Rear Main Seal leak, that was an option I didn't check :(
Been happy w/ it otherwise

This forum skews towards the 3.6 likely due to the number of early 2018 models and the reluctance of enthusiast types to try new things.

I’m surprised 4xe is outselling EcoDiesel.

The MPG numbers are about the same, but the 4xe has a $7,500 tax credit, while the diesel has a $4,000 price tag.
