I see you have a Gorilla Glass windshield! :CWL: :like::giggle:
Haha! When I got the first crack within a couple weeks, I sure was ticked off, thinking I had paid extra for the monkey magic. But I didn't see the logo on the glass, and was pissed about not getting what i paid for! Then I actually looked at the Monroney, and I guess this build didn't include it.... So, it's just the standard crappy glass. Oh well. Hasn't been much point in replacing it yet, no cracks in my vision line. Maybe I'll make it through winter before calling Safelite.

Based on the grumpy reviews I’m reading here and elsewhere, I’m not sure there’s any practical difference between the crappy OEM glass and the crappy monkey glass. I guess moving either at 70 mph and nearly 90 degrees to the direction of travel produces the look you have there. It seems unavoidable.

I went with 67 Designs Series 55 rail mount. First went with a universal cell phone mount (clamshell) that takes two hands. Then added a second magnetic mount for faster one handed operation. Both use arms to extend back and allow your phone or iPad to hang partially below the dash. Love this.

Two questions:

1. Does anyone know if a 67 designs holder will work on a Bulletpoint arm? My Bulletpoint mount just failed for the second time (Bulletpoint replaced it under warranty the first time) with the same failure mode (lower spring-loaded arm comes detached from the holder thingy) and I want to try a different solution, but like the arm I have already. I assume the ball is a standard size?

2. Magnet mount or squeeze (standard?) mount? I have a 14 Pro Max with a Spigen case with the MagSafe circle on the back. Is a magnet adequate? Or is it going to fall off?

These are the two I’m considering:

Definitely nice and looks quality but for the price I decided to go to 5-Below and came up with this …

Do you have a link to this?
And, how did you mount it to the console?

should work, believe the balls are the same size. I use the universal mount and it is great

Every magnetic mount and vent clip mount I’ve tried lasts about 12 seconds on washboard roads.

I use Ram Tough Track and x grip. Really like the set up.

I think the 67 designs holder is for a 20 mm ball mount. I've been very happy with mine.

I went with the CMM Off-Road grab bar 20mm ball mount, 67 Designs universal phone holder and nano carbon fibre arm. Added a 7” lightning cable from Amazon to complete the setup. Really happy with the result. Super clean.

I would do something like this if I didn't already have vector bar. I did a lot of research, too. I didn't want my phone in front of any of the air vents, or too low. I installed a USB socket in the upper dash so my devices are on the vector bar and connected to the upper USB socket. You don't see any cables.

I just received one of these today from Amazon.

So far it seems to work decently enough and stays out of the way of having large drinks in the drink holders. I was able to fit two large drinks from McDonald’s today just fine. The only issue right now is that I use Apple CarPlay for everything and the cord is getting in the way. I might try one of the wireless CarPlay solutions out there but from what I’m gathering is that none of them work too well.

Have you considered using the console USB and running it through the side of the console? I think a few of us have done this and it works well. Drill a small hole just large enough to get the cord through and it's hidden next to the drivers seat like this. I plug my iPhone in and just sit it next to the ebrake. I did add the hair tie since it not only holds the cord so I don't lose it under the seat, but great for when the wife forgets hers with the doors off!

Another log for the fire: offroam dash mount. Simple and solid, little trim of the rubber mat insert if you want.
