Update: CEL back on. It was worth an $8 try.

since the wires are all wrapped in that loom right under the engine cover, I’m not going to try with the metal tape. I’m going to call Jeep and open a case with them and see if I can get the same fix that the guy on the JT site got. I’ll keep you guys posted.

Talking my Jeep in finally to get this looked at again. I will open a case with Stellantis. I plan to open a case with the NTSA as well (or whatever its called). Check engine light continue to come on every few days, and stay on for a day or so. Same code every time. My OBD2 tracker sends me an email so I have full documentation for every time it's happened. I'll keep you posted.

Okay, good news. My P0341 check engine light APPEARS to be fixed. I'm hoping this thead will allow me to post my PDF receipt.

What it took:
1. Opened a case with Jeep and sent them the Starcase info from the Gladiator Forum
2. Sent them a year's worth of check engine light emails from my OBD2 reader
3. My Jeep dealer in St. Louis was told to open a Starcase, and then reference the Starcase from the dealer in Boulder who fixed the problem for someone else
4. Dealer had the Jeep for 7 days. It should have been quicker he said, but something else broke in the process (maybe a locking pin from the Cam sensor) and they had to order more parts - I don't totally trust that the dealer was telling me everything
5. The attached PDF is my receipt. It's been 7 days now without a check engine light. I know that's almost laughable to say that, so we will see if I go another 7 days before it happens. It has been pretty reliable about every 7-10 days for the last 2 years!

They also gave me 3 free diesel oil changes and 3 free tire rotates, about a $800 value believe; be nice to these people!

I hope this helps you all get yours fixed. My dealer info is on the attached; my service advisor is PJ Muehling (who I have worked with for years). Give him a call if needed. Reference me; he knows me well. Thanks!

Update: It’s been 2 weeks with no check engine light. I’m praying this fixed it!
Bob-- which dealership do you use again? I need to get my DEF stuff dealt with too but I've been putting it off because I WFH and just simply don't drive it enough to care.... plus the last time I took it in for an issue, they kept it for a month.

If I can call them up and tell them both of the issues I need addressed, that'd make it worth it to give up my Jeep for a long time.

I also have a 23 eco that literally every 7 days P0341 appears as well. Dealer hasn't been able to fix it. Would you mind posting a pic of how the battery cable to the alternator is now routed? Thank you

My Gladiator tosses this code out every now and then, I ordered the connector for the cam sensor and a picture of the new routing of the cables would help. I just need to find the terminals for the ECU so I can build a new harness for it.

Pics attached. I’m not sure based upon what my service advisor told me, and what the description of the work is to be done (soldering pins), that this is a do it yourself fix.

if you’re out of your OEM warranty, I’d open a case and plead with them that’s it’s been happening since it was in warranty and I suspect they’ll fix it.

All Star Jeep on St. Charles Rock Road. PJ Muehling is my service advisor. I promise you, do not talk to anyone else except PJ. Jeff Furgeson is the service manager; he isn't as good as PJ is. Tell him that you have the exact same issue that they just fixed for me and he should be able to help you. Everyone else there will not know what you're talking about.

His work cell is 636-485-1923. His email is [email protected]. I've been working with him over 10 years; he's a good guy.

Perfect. Thank you so much for the pics. I am a master technician of a different vehicle brand so this is something I can do myself in about 30 minutes once I source the correct terminals and connector. Mine is only a year and a half old and 15k miles so still in warranty. I just refuse to leave it at the dealer for another week for a repair I can do in 30 minutes. Thanks again for the pics.

This is the connector for the CPS, I have them and confirmed it fits, I just need the connectors for the ECU and I can make mine. There is a tech write up over on the Gladiator forum with the pin-outs.

Thank you for that. Looks like a Bosch part. I should be able to get that no problem. Yes I think the pins were 51 52 53 if I remember. I will have to pull up wiring diagrams when I get a chance. We run alldata at work and I can usually find the crimp terminals and connectors through it. When I added blindspot, off road camera, and rear park assist, the dealer wanted like $700 for all the connectors I needed. I bought them all straight from mouser for less than $50.

If you can, post a link to the ECU terminal's, that would be very helpful.
thanks,

If I have a slow day at work this week I will jump on the computer and see what I can come up with. If I can find the terminals I'll definitely post them. I just don't have access to the system at home.
