Cam Sensor Fault

Update: My OBD2 reader that I have plugged in tells me intermittantly that I am still getting the P0341 code, but my check engine light hasn't gone on in a month or two. But it gives me a code from the reader about every 5-7 days. 11/18/25 was my last one... oddly over 2 weeks ago.

I never did go to the second dealership but I did open a case with Jeep; nothing happens until I go to the dealer though.

My 23 Ecodiesel is intermittently throwing a check engine light. The error code resolves to a cam sensor fault.

The engine seems to idle rougher than usual for the check engine light is one, but then it seems to resolve itself.

the dealer Recommended keeping the Jeep for a full diagnostic. They kept it for 10 days (!) and couldn’t replicate the failure.

so what now? Has anyone heard anything about this? My Jeep has 16k miles.

I had the crank sensor shorting out. Eventually went into a limp mode and would only go 35 mph. 20 days in the shop to diagnose.

Update: I'm still getting errors from my OBD2 Reader (which sends me an email every time a code is thrown, regardless of check engine light), the last one was on 01/11/26. The one before that was on 11/18/25; dealer did the final "fix" on 08/13/25.

Here are the exact dates of documented emails of thrown code since the 08/13/25 "TSB fix":
Aug: 15, 21, 28, 31
Sept: 1, 5, 20
Oct: 18, 19, 23, 25, 28
Nov: 2, 11, 13, 18
Dec: none
Jan: 11
