the point was similar performance to a Jeep in areas other than rock crawling.

Any of the ones I listed above have available 4wd systems with a ladder frame, low range and plenty of ground clearance. Other than that its tires and you are done.

All of the trucks I listed, including the bronco, how does its newness mean anything, are comparable to a jeep in general off road use with nothing more than possibly tires.
I have already seen videos of Bronco on simple trails, It is not the same. Perhaps some versions are I don't know because it is still new. Not even complicated. I seen a subaru off road doesn't mean I would run out and buy one for running trails. Sure trucks can go off road that is not the point, they also have the turning radius of a truck.

Other than rock crawling? You never been on rough trails? I don't rock crawl not many to crawl on around here but deeply rutted trails are the norm. There is more than rocks that need flexibility to keep the traction.

The bronco can do anything a Jeep can do.
Including lose its (leaky and squeaky) hard top or soft top.

The Grenadier is probably superior off road to a Jeep but can't lose its top or doors. And its got beam axles anyway. And at this point its vaporware.
Yeah Ford fanboys think Bronco can do everything Wrangler can do. Video evidence shows that’s not quite the case.

And Bronco’s assembly quality is absolute shit. I’ve seen it up and close.

How many Grenadiers you seen running around on trails? Looks like a ripped off G-Wagen.

Saying it can do anything a Wrangler can is a bit of a BS statement.

I never said it was screwed together well. I had an order for a Bronco and once I saw one in the flesh I bought a Jeep.

But it CAN do everything a Jeep can do. Come on. Admit it.

Can you construct an rare situation where a jeep works truly better? Sure. But in 99% of situations, the primary determinant is driver skill. And by the way, a Ford person could probably also dream up a scenario where a Bronco would work better.

The Bronco is every bit as good off road as a Jeep. And in Sasquatch trim, probably better before the XR package came out.

This is the point. The Wrangler is probably better suited to serious rock crawling but in 99% of off-road situations, the Bronco is going to get through anything the Wrangler can, and it's going to be better on the general trails that aren't rock gardens.

Same goes for many other IFS vehicles. Even a full-sizer like my Tahoe or a 1/2-ton pickup with a factory "off-road" package can do most of it. I know this because i've had my Tahoe (and an older, less "equipped" Yukon) in those situations, right alongside Wranglers. What it lacks in approach/departure/breakover clearance it makes up for in weight and power. The full-sizers can power through things that Wranglers can't. And they're great to have as part of the group because they can yank Wranglers out of trouble.

Seems you and I agree almost totally on the Bronco. I would never own one but not because of it's level of capability. My distaste comes from the vehicle itself. Its just really disappointing.

I'm new here and in the same boat. I have a Bronco order but due to allocations I most definitely will not see it this year or even next.

I am looking at ordering a Jeep in the hopes a 3-4 month turn around is realistic. - Currently have a JGC so I'm not new to Jeep, just haven't had the opportunity to own a Wrangler before

Leaning towards Rubicon but reviewing features across all. The build/price tool doesn't exactly make it easy. Is there a simple at a glance sheet that shows Standard vs Optional features across all Jeeps? I downloaded the Order Code book but even that's a challenge. Any help is greatly appreciated

No. You are wrong.

Perhaps you meant to type this on Bronco Nation. They will swallow all the crap up over there. That’s all they do.

This is where ford has a leg up: customizing packages. I’d get a rubicon if I were you. That way you don’t feel like you ‘settled’.

Sasquat vs Jeep Wrangler Willys. Jeep wins don't even need a Rubicon or mods. If you go 2d Willys probably better than Rubicon U, Bronco and every other "off-road" SUV on the planet stock.

LOL that doesn't work. You can't just make something so by declaring it so. SMH - you could at least include some highly circumstantial and subjective statements about that one time you drove your Wrangler over a bigger rock than some Bronco.

The fanboy bar is getting really low around here.

The Bronco you had ordered was a Sasquatch right? So 35's? You want a Rubicon with the XR package then. I personally recommend the V6 with those big wheels but some others here will tell you the exact opposite. So that's up to you. The build tool is a PITA and not very accurate. Play around with different configurations but make sure you consult your dealer because they will give you a reality check on actual availability and configuration.

You are making the right choice with a Wrangler. It's not the off-road capability that's an issue with the Bronco. It's regular car-stuff that they really missed the bar on.

Im in the same boat on the allocations. OBX / 2.7 / A51 / SAS / LUX / Hardtop (obviously). Ordered a Rubicon 2.0 (I’ve got the 3.6L in the GC and it’s fine so changing it up after reading here).
