And it's a 5 minute fix that costs less than 1 hour of diagnostic time at the dealer. Odds are it is the fix, if it isn't you're only out $150 and your Jeep has a brand new battery.
Even cheaper if you can have an auto parts store load test it or get a full charge on it, if it's still healthy. They typically do that for free.

Etorque for sure, if the 12v battery isn't charging it's got to be a problem with the 48v battery, DC to DC inverter, or belt start generator, all of which are covered by the 8 year 80k mile emissions warranty. The 12v battery however isn't covered. The smart move to avoid a costly tow and repair bill is swap the 12v battery and see what happens. If all is well it was just a bad battery. F it isn't charging/ starts to drain, it's covered. All the other issues are just the weird symptoms of low voltage in a modern vehicle.
I’m 40 miles from a town with oreilly and AutoZone stores but am getting a free tow in the morning to a closer town in the opposite direction called Lone Pine where I believe there is a smaller auto parts store. Avoiding a tow seems impossible out here. At least my insurance covers going to the town that’s 15 miles away.

After much effort, we were able to jump the Jeep, and we moved it a few thousand yards down the highway to our motel. It barely had any power, and we barely made it. At least it’s not sitting at a gas station anymore. A service transmission light is on the dash, and it’s the only notice available. It looks like we’ll be sticking to our tow appointment in the morning.
It sounds like the alternator to me. If this is an etorque model, the BSG could be going bad.

You can easily tell if you have the 48 volt etorque battery. It will be here. About the size of a small suitcase. If you don’t see this battery, your Jeep has (or had) a small secondary 12 volt battery.

If you went up to the Bristlecone via Silver Canyon trail than the BSM alert is normal due to the sensors being closed to the hill/wall for an extended period during those switchbacks.

I have a 2019 JLUR eTorque and have had very similar experiences, more than once!

How long have you owned the vehicle -- and have you had any of the systems flashed with the latest firmware -- in particular the control modules for the 48V system. When there is something wrong with the 48V system, it stops charging the 12V battery and then all 12V "components" basically shut off. In my JLUR, the 48V system would get VERY HOT and stop charging the 12V system. So, I would sit and wait, when things cooled off enough I would be able to drive it again.

There are multiple cooling systems in a JLUR with eTorque, you should probably check them all. One is for the MGU, another for the 48V battery, another for the engine itself. I doubt this is an engine issue, but it uses the black reservoir up next to the master cylinder for the brakes, close to the firewall on the driver side. The MGU and 48V battery cooling reservoirs are up front, on the driver side.

This all sounds so familiar, my eye lid is starting to twitch with frustration. I've decided to refer to the 2.0 eTorque as the public beta test for the 4xe. I will add that all of my problems have occurred when on the trail. Long days, 4 LOW, trail use, or very long drive days on the interstate. When I have it in "daily driver" mode I have had no problems.

I'm hoping that you let everyone here know what the shop says. It'll be interesting to learn how this story ends.

Sorry to be of no help but this thread is giving me a lot to think about. Not much in Lone Pine in the way of auto services - Bishop has far more, or even Big Pine in between.

My 4XE obviously has eTorque (which before this I’ve never even heard of). No idea if it has a 48V battery since it has that big 400V monster.

Ignore the side sensors, mine where on the entire time off roading in the San Juans, don’t forget a slightly ajar door the safety park will engage, may have been incidental also, open and shut all doors including the hatch, dome light might have been on due to slightly ajar door that caused your battery to be low voltage, cascade of problem then with low voltage battery.

Lone Pine has Millers Towing with some competent mechanics. Big Pine has nothing.
