Release date on the mopar plastic wrap around bug deflector is July 1st. The one on my TJ has lasted 20 years and definitely helped with rocks hitting the cowel under the windshield. Not sure if it helped the windshield or not. It attracts bugs wose than the JL

Anyone in this discussion have a soft top with the Aeroskin? Does it make a lot of noise?

I just put one on yesterday and would not recommend it for a soft top. The deflector was changing the aerodynamics of the Jeep and causing a loud noise on the soft top. Sounded like someone hitting a bass drum. This was at speeds over 45ish all day yesterday. I took it off this morning and the noise is gone.

Also, the Aeroskin II protects the front edge of the hood well, but does crap for stopping bugs or other strikes to the windshield.

Yeah, I mainly got it to protect the front edge of the hood. It's too bad - it looked great. I might just go the PPF route now.

I installed this and it definitely has helped, with less bugs hitting my windshield than before.

Protects the front edge and looks rather nice also.

Yep looks good but doesn’t do much for bugs. Oh well I tried.

I just got a black JLU as well and have been waiting for a pic of what it looks like. Do you have any more photos by chance? I like the sheen of the black front hood so I would almost hate to break it up.....but I do want to protect it the front of the hood.

I had already checked the JeepWorld website. The bug deflector description says the grill cover is not included, but it doesn't have a link to the grill cover. I also searched the JeepWorld web site using their search box, nothing. So I just now called them, and they said they don't have the grill cover. Wild goose chase. Argh.

You are correct. No grill cover. I guess I will have to cut a nice size rectangle from my screen door.
