Can anyone recommend a good bike rack for 2 bikes? Don’t want to spent a fortune but should be still a decent quality.

I use a 1up USA Super Duty double rack for my fatty mt bike. It has the wider trays for my fat tires. Very adjustable and excellent quality. Quick install and removal. I had to install an 8" hitch receiver extension to get beyond the rear door mounted spare tire. All metal construction.

I'm assuming it's for a 2door Jeep? OP profile mentions a Camry but I'm assuming OP has or plans to have a 2door Jeep.

If so:
Definitely use a hitch rack.

Look at Saris for good values, but there are many makers of lower cost hitch racks.
https://saris.com/collections/hitch-racks

I don't see on their current list the particular inexpensive Saris hitch rack I used for years. It allowed the tailgate to open partially with bikes installed which was a plus. That's the main drawback of hitchracks--blocking tailgate access--but most racks now accommodate access in some way. Tilt-down features and swing-out features are common, but they do push up cost.

Also, shop online bike shops for hitch racks--Nashbar.com, Performancebike.com, etc. They'll have better deals on racks sometimes.

This is one benefit of a short wheelbase Jeep--that a hitch rack keeps overall vehicle length still reasonably short. Hitch racks are still the best option for an 4door Jeep too, but you can see how well it works on a short wheelbase Jeep.

Having tried a variety of hitch racks, I now use a 1up like a few mentioned here already, and don't regret the cost given ease of use, quality (also made in USA), and features I like.

Some things to consider for someone who is interested in a 1up rack (likely not the OP but it's a popular rack for Jeeps):
1. Consider what bikes you'll carry. 1up makes racks with different load limits and if you carry eBike(s) you'll want to take that into account. I saw recently they're offering a rack that takes a smaller motorbike?

2. As was mentioned 1up has widening kits, fairly inexpensive, for 4" fatbike tires. I think 29+ with 3" tire and 27.5+ with 3" tires will just barely fit the standard kit, but you definitely need the fatbike kit for tires 3.5" or wider. It's easy to install and you can still carry narrow tire bikes on you've installed the kit. They also have a pad for fendered bikes, and it works fine in practice.

3. I ordered and installed the special lowering side plates for my 1up, which allow the trays to be ~6" lower than the standard side-plates, and I've read that it's possible to order 1up racks with the lowering side plates, but you'll want to email them about this, since they don't show the lowering side plates as an option online, IIRC.

The advantage of these side plates is that it puts the 1up rack trays just below tailgate level so it can swing all the way open with the rack installed. And you don't lift bikes as high to load them, but the rack still rides quite high with lots of Jeep-worthy clearance on a stock height Jeep Rubicon 2door.

4. As was mentioned, you'll likely need an extension to get the rack out from under the spare tire. My 1up works fine in my hitch (that is flush with the stock steel Rubicon bumper) but I have to fiddle around when loading a bike to get the pedal underneath the 35" spare tire (was true for the 33" spare too). I wasn't crazy about adding an extension hitch tube since most of them rattle and clunk compared to the 1up which has a very secure, non-rattling mount...

5. ...But I also needed a swing-out eventually for taking bikes on camping trips where I need to use the fully open tailgate too (and not have to remove the rack to do so). So I use the RIGd Supply RambleSwing which provides 5" or more of extension plus a very secure swing-out for full access to the back of the Jeep. And the RIGd RambleSwing is just such a good swing-out it's hard to choose a different one once you've seen it.

6. Arg, by now the 1up plus add-ons results in a lot of expense, haha, but isn't that the way when you build a Jeep the way you want it.
Stay away! Don't look at 1up or RIGd Supply! cheap hitch racks are just fine. They work.

+1 for the 1UP rack. For mine I bought an over/under hitch extender. It dropped the rack down just enough that it clears the tailgate.

I have this one. https://a.co/d/4HgN7bQ - easy to get on and off. Doesn't take up a lot of room when stored. Feels very secure and doesn't block the backup cam. And no need to remove it to open the tailgate. Only downside is that I can't put it on my other vehicle. Trailer hitch mounted rack would be more universal.

I have a 2 door jeep and a Rola brand bike rack.

TX 102 carries 2 bikes
TX 103 carries 3 bikes
TX 104 carries 4 bikes

I will only ever carry 2 bikes so I got the TX 103 to allow for space between the bikes.

Installing the rack is very quick
Loading and unloading bikes is very quick
The rack is sturdy. It will never come off and a bike will never come off.

I cannot open the tailgate with the rack installed. I plan ahead for that so it becomes a non-issue

I would happily get another should I ever need to.

One thing I didn't mention was I already had the 1up USA Super Duty double bike rack prior to getting my 2022 Willys 2 door. I would not go to any other bike rack because of the quality and it suits my needs. With gear in the back and an 8" extension, the bike rack with two bikes loaded, it would sag the rear end. I installed AirLift 1000 air bags and I can control the rear ride height and firmness as needed for cargo loads, bikes on the racks and when pulling a small trailer.

I personally find quikr to be of equal, or better quality. (Very similar)

https://quikrstuff.com/shop/

I work in the cycling industry, I ordered and took delivery of a 1up for 4 bikes. Something wasn't to my satisfaction which was easily resolvable regarding the bike locks, and they refused any accommodation or compromise, even when I offered to pay them extra. I was kind of shocked with how short they were with me.

I shipped my $2000 of rack back to them because of a $100 lock.

Added tip, get a swing arm for your hitch that folds out. Wilco off road makes one that has two hitch receivers. One for the bike rack (which moves at away from the tire for clearance) and the other to still tow.

I got the Quadratec 4 bike rack and it's great. Even with 2 bikes on it I'm able to open it and lay it down and open the back of the Jeep....I have 34's and had to get an extension to the hitch so it sticks out a bit but works great.

1UP is a good option as many have mentioned. Stores in my area didn't have them to try on and other racks in the same range had more bells and whistles (integrated locks, repair station, no need for fat tire adapters etc.).

Ended up with Kuat NV2.0: https://www.kuat.com/product/nv-2-0/
Not cheap either but it's worth having the piece of mind on longer trips.

With a 12in hitch extender I can open the tailgate enough to open the glass half, plenty of room to access the trunk (33in tires).
https://www.harborfreight.com/12-in-hitch-extender-69882.html

If you get the extender make sure to get a tightener like this:

Another option if you need a hitch is buying a used OEM one from Marketplace. That's where I scored the hitches for our JLs - mine was off a JK, and the other two were off JLs. You can find them pretty cheap and they're super easy to install - 4 bolts, and ~maybe~ removing a useless bracket depending on the bumper.

I've had the Quadratec two-bike hitch for a few years now. Unfortunately it's out of stock at the moment according to the site. The pics of it installed on a Liberty in the reviews is mine - I figured there were enough pics of bikes on JKs and JLs so I wanted to show that it worked great on another Jeep that had a tailgate mounted spare tire. I understand some of the fat bikes need the tray-style mounts, but I guess it depends on what type of bike you ride. We only ride muscle bikes or single-speed BMX (20, 24, 26) so there's no issue with weight or mounting points. It's very solid and doesn't take up a lot of room when folded down. It does block the camera, but I got my license long before they were a thing, and I don't have the blind-spot monitors so it doesn't annoy me with the beeping  .
