I found out the hard way that Quadratec offers zero help with returning items that were bought by mistake or no longer needed. Paid $482 for rocker guards (which I decided I didn't like because the bottom looks like it can get hung up on things) and had to pay UPS $350 to ship it back - no free shipping or prepaid labels or anything. Most online retailers like ExtremeTerrain at least offer prepaid labels and discounted shipping rates for returns, regardless of the reason. Anyway, I get that they don't feel like its their problem, but that policy needs to be in big, flashing, red letters on their website in this day and age of online shopping. I also tried calling, emailing, and sending proof of shipping costs to their customer service and they basically ghosted me. Oh well, live and learn.

Just wanted to give our 2 cents. 80% of our customers that want a return end up having a problem with our pre-paid labels. We ended up getting more complaints from pre-paid labels than we do with a customer going to a local shipping service themselves. I'm not sure if Quadratec has the same issue but we are always trying to balance which complaints are more valid. We have found that because labels are an attachment in emails, they routinely get flagged as spam. Most customers don't create an account for retailers like Quadratec and ourselves so posting the labels in customer's accounts isn't reliable either.

I'm sure Quadratec will agree that complaints like these help everyone in the Jeep space figure out what works best for our customers. I would love some more suggestions as to what everyone prefers for returns.

Thanks! - Van

edit: forgot to add problem

I think It is one thing if it is their mistake but If I buy something and it was my screw up or I changed my mind I figure that is on me..

Most offer free shipping to you, they eat that cost. If it was damaged or defective that's one thing, you decide you 'don't like it' that's on you. Really only Amazon does free returns, and even then it's not always large items. You could have listed them on marketplace instead of throwing away $350.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. I’m truly sorry to hear about the issues you've encountered with your return and the shipping costs. I completely understand how frustrating it can be when a purchase doesn't work out as expected, and I appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

We strive to provide clear and transparent information about our return policies, which are outlined on our website. Unfortunately, as stated in our policy, we are unable to cover return shipping costs for items that are returned due to personal preference, such as the rocker guards in this case, unless the item was shipped in error or arrived damaged.

That being said, I understand that this policy may not have been as clear as it should be, and we appreciate your feedback. We’ll be reviewing our site to ensure our return policy is as visible and clear as possible moving forward to avoid any future confusion.

We are sorry that your experience with customer service wasn’t up to the standard you expected. If you need further assistance with anything, or if there's anything we can do to help resolve this issue, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us via Private message with your order information. I would be happy to try and assist in any way I can.

Again, thank you for your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you better in the future.

Hope you have a great rest of your week!
