Never thought I would post this about a company I have purchased at least $10,000 worth of items over many years but the service has become terrible. Communication poor at its best. Recently ordered front seats two were defective and were sent back. Then the trouble started no one could tell me if they were received in the warehouse and I was told I could be charged for them if not found. For my own protection I called the credit card company to put a dispute on the charges until sorted out. When I finally found out they were received (a month later) a supervisor (Chris) informed me that I was "banned for life"
from ordering or using Extreme terrain again! Once I knew they received the return seats I called the credit card company to end the dispute. Extreme terrain again informed me my account was banned for life. Be very careful ordering anything pricy and do not dispute anything ordered or they will inform you that you are banned. Order from quadratec or a dozen other companies. Very disappointing for a long time jeep owner!

Northridge 4x4 has been good for me. I just ordered 4.88 gears, bearings, shims, and Dana differential covers for my 2-door JLR from them this morning.

Over 50+ orders with @Northridge4x4 . Yes, there were a couple of issues, but a simple call in and all got sorted quickly.

One time they called me each day to ask if I had any updates on an issue I was troubleshooting with the manufacturer until all was resolved.

For every online retailer of Jeep parts out there there’s at least one complaint on this forum. @Northridge4x4 is my go to. Plus they have discount codes like Pitchfork just because they have a sense of humor. Northridge has resolved any minor issues after a quick phone call. I’ve had no unresolved problems with Quadratec either. YMMV.

I'll agree with Northridge, i first bought from them what seems like 20 years ago, never an issue.

I got screwed by Extreme too. I purchased a Mopar fuel door from them. About six weeks later it broke. Extreme told me no returns after 30 days. They told me the Mopar warranty was two years. When I tried to warranty it though Mopar they would not accept my Extreme invoice because their part number did not match Mopar's. Screwed!

Good to hear, thanks. I need a few other companies to keep building!

That sucks. I have never heard of a ban from a retailer like that before. Extreme terrain used to be really good but they have gotten a little less customer oriented the last few years. As others have said, northridge 4x4 is the best. Their customer service is excellent and their pricing is outstanding. Just go there instead.

I have also been banned. I received a damaged product, sent it back and they have no record of receipt. It's been months.

I'll second, and confirm their customer service is deficient. I also filed a dispute with my credit card company. I still receive all of their marketing emails, but when I recently attempted to place an order (three separate times), it indicates it was cancelled several minutes after receiving a thank you for the order. It would be interesting to see who is the principal and/or ownership group for Extreme Terrain. I would question ownership's awareness of this policy and the potential implications for bad PR and lost sales.

My extreme story, ordered bumper, wrong one sent, they took it back. I asked for refund, they said no worry.

Always always use tracking info, that's proof they got it.

Anyway, three weeks after I shipped, I verified they got it 4 days later, I call, they say yep, we got it all good, you have store credit. No, I want refund. They did refund next day. Not perfect, but fine. And I do agree Northridge is best to date.

I wish the two local Jeep shops that I use would ban me for life. I would have an extra $125,000 if they had of banned me the first day I walked in there....;)
HA! no kidding....
