Hopefully you realize that Google's results vary by person. I work directly with their engineers on that type of personalization.

Fair test John? Even if I'm wrong and his search results prove me so, do you really want to tell me that the link I gave to this gentlemen's likeness really isn't obvious from his Mongolian features (again, a scientific description, not a judgement) that he's Down's?

This of course John is not to diminish the merits of your thoughts. Yeah, certain people's searches are more likely to reveal "cats on fire, penguins being bashed over the head and special needs people standing on the street minding their own business having milkshakes thrown at them from moving cars."

That's a metaphor. I have no evidence of anyone's browsing history. I'm just saying, "you're right, people's browsing history is customized--I just wonder if in @Tredsdert's case it's in a way that's less than flattering.

Are you under the impression that clearing your browser history and using a secure VPN will magically make your Google search results match someone else's? That's not how their algorithm works. I could go into the gory details of what would be required by both parties, but, unlike others, I'm not a fan of writing dissertations.

Note that I have said nothing about any image posted in this thread nor anything about anyone here being a bigot. I was merely pointing out an apparent flaw in your technological approach. Consider redirecting elsewhere.

I am under the fact that clearing my browsing history and using a secure VPN renders my previous search inclinations immaterial, and speaks nothing about mimicking other's search tendencies.

John, you came to the defense of a guy who "made a mistake," who has pathetically BSed his way through this and tried to assign twice, claims of bigotry on me.

As stated, the above search history stuff is immaterial. However @Tredsdert came to finding that picture, he'd have to be blind to not realize it was one of someone with special needs.

Yes, I am under the fact that the destruction of cookies and other pieces of software placed on my machine, along with the simultaneous use of a different VPN can and does render different search results. Please try it, I have. I too work in this field.

Regardless this is an absurd argument regardless of who is right or wrong. For argument sake let's assume you are. Again, regardless of how @Tredsdert came to that picture, (and I serious doubt it by random chance) the idea that he didn't pick up, looking at it, that it was someone with special needs is "beyond the pale."

Whether you've cleared cookies or you haven't, when you do a photo search on Google, it never returns just one photo. So, you have a choice on which photo you ~choose~ to use.
