Hi All
I removed my hardtop for first time. Used the supplied Mopar tool kit to remove screws. It works fine, just slow
Decided to use my screw gun and was much faster
Should I buy a right angle attachment for my Dewalt?
This seems to be best solution in my opinion
Anyone else using something that's better?
Any advice is appreciated
I use the tool below with the torx bit from the Mopar Tool Kit, works perfectly, no right angle needed.

You guys better be careful with the Ryobi tools, they don't go click they go crick so be ware!!
RYOBI is made at at the same Factory as Milwaukee. They are actually the best bargain right now and they last.

Found it, this is the BEST tool for the JEEP. You can adjust the torque and take the door bolts off without scratching the door. See it here on TIktok

I just use the hand knobs from Amazon post above.

As for my doors, I have never put those bolts back on. They're living their best life in the rear cubby rent free zone.

I have been using the Door pins from amazon. I leave them on both the Jeeps. Set for both Half-doors. Are you using door pin guides? No risk of chipping hinge paint. They sure help lining up and guides right in hole. I really like them.

I guess I am just old school. I have the GPCA cargo cover with the T-Handle Thumb Screws.

I guess I have more time and don't mind twisting the handles off and on without power tool.

Apparently Ryobi has one of these, too, which I like cause all my other tools are Ryobi.

HOWEVER

Home Depot has the tool only for $99, or the tool + battery for $89, though the latter is out of stock everywhere. ?

A right-angle adapter might work well, but I've also been eyeing an electric ratchet - would fit in there pretty easily, I think.

This is the one that I have on my Amazon list:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X37XMX...olid=1ZXKDVZE4JTQ5&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

I've also seen some handled-screws on Amazon, which would replace the factory bolts, but they have a few drawbacks:
- Have to be done by hand. Biggest issue here.
- Won't be able to store in the factory holes under the cargo panel. Also an annoyance.
Milwaukee 12v Ratchet works great! Job done in 3 mins or less or or off!

@jaymz

I agree.

I use the Milwaukee 1/4" drive cordless ratchet for the doors, hardtop and more... A terrific tool to have at your disposal. I've gotten lots of use of my Milwaukee over the years..
So you are able to get the Milwaukee in without damaging paint for the doors?
