I'd look at American Adventure Labs or Outback Adventures.

I'd like to get either but at $750 Canadian, that seems really steep for a table.

I DIY’d out of home depot hardware, dyneema spearfishing rope and a large cutting board. Amazon thumbscrews through the cutting board hold it up when not in use.

I love my Outback Adventures table. Totally worth the $$. I’ve had no issues or rattling.

I'm also planning on putting a tailgate table on the new 2023 JLLR XR that we ordered. I love the looks of the Outback Adventure one, my concern is that this table closes/seals the vents that are located on the tailgate. Wondering if anyone has noticed any issues with that. I'm sure Jeep put those vents there for a reason. no?
I have the Outback Adventure and at one time I was wondering about the vents but I have not noticed any problems with blocking them. I do have the top off most of the time but have had the top on for a while after the table was installed. I would get it again.

I hope this isn't thread hijacking but I'd like a vendor (maybe they have and I am just not aware of it) to design a tailgate table that attaches to the cargo area's tie downs, rather than the tailgate door, and slides out, not unlike the Bronco's implementation of this.

Maybe this is not easily doable or not compatible with things like the rail system for the cargo area.

AAL VersaTable is excellent, but I agree installing the middle latch bolt and chasing down rattles was a total pain in the ass. It’s not a table you want to remove and reinstall, going thru the hassle again either. It’s expensive, but heavy duty and super functional. I bought it used for $300 from someone trading their Jeep in.

I’d never pay full price for how much of a pain it had been before it was squared away.

Selecting the right table has a lot to do with how meticulous you are with operation, fit/finish and quality of hardware.

Cable supports, bent tab hinges, mounting over plastic panels are ok for most and deal breakers for others.

Do you have a picture or measurements of how much room is taken up when it's closed? Also, it looks like the plastic trim is removed during the install-- do you think that saves any room?

Asking as I have a 2 door and I'm hesitant to give up what cargo space I have as the back seat is occupied by a car seat.

That's sweet! But we have storage in rear of cargo area under the floor. It's nice space. I'd hate to lose it. So what you proposed someone implements, YES... BUT add a hatch too.

I could live with pulling it out to get to the cargo storage tub. Unlike the Bronco design, pulling out could expose it.

Yes it replaces the plastic piece and is only 1/2 inch deeper when taking into account removing the plastic trim.

Is it me or does no one post a table (yes there was one) with a dbl burner coleman stove on it? I've only found a couple online that will accommodate one. Most pics are of some tiny single burner one sitting on it. I don't understand recommendations for a tailgate table that can't even hold a decent sized stove.
