IMO..If it was really needed, then the factory Engineers, would have recommended that it be standered equipment on the 3.6 engine. It is just a sales gimmick, that some are buying into. It is your money, so only you can make that decision.
The 3.6 originated back in 2011. There are over 10 million of them (original 3.6, plus the 3.6 PUG) that are now running out there, without this added item. Plus, the oil cooler/filter housings, are not of quality, of which there has been many failures. So now, does one really want to add more weight, to an already weak designed housinng? But, everybody to their own!

You might want to change the thread's title. Unless, of course, you were going for a strong southern accent with "all filter".
I guess I fat fingered keys.

I run one on both my 3.6 wranglers and NO more bone chilling rattle rattle on start up.
The Baxter along with the spin on oil filter both have a anti drain back valve keeping the oil up in the filter.
I was shocked the first time a change my oil finding NO oil in the filter housing and the filter filter was almost dry. All the oil had drained out of the housing and oil cooler back to the pan leaving a large air pocket that now has to be pushed though the oil galleys on cold start ups.
This is just common sense.

Title should be Baxter filter adapter. I would change it but don’t know how. 🙄
Go to the top of the thread (above your first post). There should be a drop-down button named "edit thread".

Not disagreeing with you in this example, but sometimes the bean counters override the decisions of the engineers.

Yes. If all engineers had complete control of the end product there would be 100s of thousands people alive today.
We have all seen it cost cutting decision that affect all of use.
If they had made a updated oil filter housing that doesn't leak and holds oil it would have cost them 100s of millions.
So we suffer for there cost cutting decision.

No. easy.
Just make sure when screwing it in that the O-ring is lubricated and that it doesn't get pinched.
My local 4x4 shop has installed 100s and if you reluctant next oil change have your local 4x4 shop install one at the same time they change the oil.

Unfortunately, I don't have a local 4x4 shop close by. I was going to look for YouTube video and try to install it myself.
