I purchased mine from my local 4x4 shop.
North ridge sells the and you should be able to fined a discount coupon.

Will I stalling the adaptor void the warranty?

I bought the remote mount one to install along with a fan driven oil cooler and dual oil filter housing, but a cracked head or block took out my 3.6L before I could install it.

The remote mount with properly anchored hoses prevents the need to ever touch the POS plastic housing again which **should** minimize issues.

My Willys although still under extended warranty will never see a dealer again after the 3 time I took it in for my free oil changers.
Last free oil change oil spilled every where and when I told them there is something wrong with the brakes I was told it is normal.
As I walked out for the last time. I said I will fix it myself.
Ended up air in the brakes and needed an ABS bleed . FIXED.
If you have to take it to the dealer the Baxter can be easily swooped out.
Save your used oil filter and cap just encase you need to see the dealer.

Why don't you cancel your extended warranty and get some of your money back? If it's never going to a dealer again you have no need for it, and might as well get some of your money back.

Its a 3 party extended warranty. Not a jeep factory extended warranty.
The only time I may use it is if a motor or trans fails.
Last week I had to replace my leaking water pump at 27k and did it my self at a cost of $300.
I do ALL my own work on all my vehicles.
I have seen what others can do to even the simplest job.

That's true. I guess keep it for something catastrophic. Even 3rd party warranties can be cancelled. Actually I believe all can be. We don't use Mopar warranty here. We use Zurich and they can be cancelled at any time.

I haven't even read my warranty.
My wife insisted on it after listing to the sales man sales pitch.
I had to finely give in.

I would keep it for something expensive, but if you bought it from the dealer it doesn't matter if it is 3rd party or not it can be cancelled. Some dealers try to make it a pain to do, but they don't have a choice if you want to cancel it. Pisses the finance guy off cause he gets a charge back.

Not disagreeing with you in this example, but sometimes the bean counters override the decisions of the engineers.
I think "bean counter decisions" redistribute more often than reduce costs. Reduced cost upfront (tangible!) are converted to long term costs.

Well I only got a C+ in my college accounting class so I’ll have to trust you on this.

Could someone explain the reason behind pumping air into the chamber before you unscrew the top oil filter? Is it to force oil out of the filter housing? What kind of air pump is that used in the Northridge video?

You use compressed air to push the oil out of the filter and housing so it doesn't run all over and down under the intake manifold, when you unscrew it. There's an valve in the body of the Baxter adapter that is a weak spring and ball which only requires a few pounds of force to open it and push the oil past it.
