Planning on leaving my 2025 Rubicon X unattended in Colorado for a few months this winter and need to buy a battery tender. Looking for advice regarding brands and specific connections needed , taking into consideration I have the auxiliary battery. Prefer not to mess with it due to warranty concerns

Many people are happy with the NOCO 10.

Your placement of its leads on the main battery terminals with the vehicle parked will charge both the main and Aux battery, as these batteries are connected in parallel at all times when the vehicle is at rest.

NOCO chargers are highly recommended. You don't need a large one to keep your Jeep topped off while parked. The 2 amp will be more than enough.

Thank you. Wasn’t sure since the jump start and portable tire compressors connections are different

Because I usually only drive a few miles at a time, when I don't drive for a few days, I use the Noco Genius 10 and plug it into my towing connection.

I use CTEK (56-958) MUS 4.3 for several years now alternating between the Jeep and the BMW every two weeks. Neither is being driven much in winter. No problem starting even in extreme cold.

Plus 1 on on the NOCO brand, I have them on several vehicles. They are pretty smart. I use the NOCO 5 genius. It has settings for lead acid, AGM, and Litium. It is has a battery repair mode that recently used on some older batteries. One was a 2020 model and the other a 2022 model. Both have been good to go. I don‘t disconnect any of my batteries with one on there charging.

Bought a Noco 5 and it has worked out fine. Work from home and have 2 cars so this one doesn't see that much use. I just move it from the Jeep to the Vette as they both have agm batteries.

I strongly prefer the Battery Tender (Deltran) line or NOCO Genius maintainers for Jeeps like ours. My go-to ended up being the Battery Tender Plus or the junior version for lighter duty, but for the Rubicon X with its electronics, I upgraded to a NOCO Genius1 or Genius2 (1-2 amp smart maintainer). These are smart chargers that detect the battery type (AGM in most modern Jeeps), switch to float/maintain mode automatically, and won’t overcharge. They handle cold temperatures well, which is crucial where temps drop well below freezing.

You got it right the first time. Battery Tender brand is as good or better than any.
