I do not have an aux battery, since mine is E-Torque, I have the large 48V battery.
I assume it's still the same issue though. It never stops draining current. While Jeep is particularly crap at designing electronic systems, most "modern" cars have the same issue, especially if there is any anti-theft or online services.

For a while now, every once in a while, the Jeep would display Aux buttons temp unavailable, battery charging. So, I figured my dash cam was causing it. So I turned it off while parked so there was no drain. Well over the last couple of days it apparently has gotten worse. Today we went out and when we got in the Jeep to come back home it displayed it again. It usually doesnt at all if its driven around during the day. Would this be my battery dying or is there any other reason that could cause it before I got purchase a new one. The Jeep is slightly over a year old and has a bit over 24k miles. Thanks
I have a ‘22 with the etorque v6. Two weeks ago it had the same problems as yours. Dealer said it was most likely the main battery, which would be replaced under warranty. The problem was no appointments till this week. Then it started to have more warnings (stability control…misfires and others). Scan guage showed several errors.
Looked on forum someone suggested the Walmart H7 battery for @$188. It fit perfectly, had 4 year warranty, and more cranking amps. Still had errors. Had to attach 12+8 security cable to odb2 port, and used jscan or scan gage to clear them. Now all is good.

The aux batter and the 48V work a bit different for my understanding. The 48V also has an 8yr warranty.

Sounds like the consensus is that the battery is going bad and nothing else will cause the same symptoms.

The Walmart batteries have worked fine in my Wrangler, and other vehicles. Better than other major brands.

Indeed, but I understood that the issue was related aux buttons being unavailable. These are part of 12v system and should be fully separate from the battery used for the etorque, other than for charging it up, of course.
If my main battery I get the message that the aux, heated seats and so on are not available. I was told this was related to the voltage for the main and aux battery, though you don't have the aux, so just the main.
In either case, the constant drain on the system will always happen.

I went through 3 sets of batteries before we figured out what was wrong. If you keep your key fob close to your Jeep, it will not allow the Jeep go to full "OFF". IT will drain your battery.
Also if you have a Taser, before do a full reboot if you access and change or just open the taser to look at things YOU MUST DO A FULL REBOOT.

Fob is always in my pocket and the Jeep is in the garage. Too far for that. I do not have a tazer though. The only extra thing plugged in is my dash cam but I turned it off to monitoring while parked. Since its been there for months, and turned on, I dont believe it to be the culprit. I measured this morning to see the charge and its at 12.1 after sitting over night. When we take our son to work this morning I plan to have it load tested. If its bad, when we go by Walmart, Ill pick up a new one.

My main went bad after the first year. Warranteed and dealer replaced. The new one lasted about 2.5. I know dealers can be a pain but i made them put the battery on fcas dime. I waited till warranty was up to get my own. Did interstate agm, can't remember the size but it was the one larger than the factory one but still fits.

Easy choice-get rid of both batteries and get a single 850 CCA AGM (Gel) battery. Leave the AUX in place-just disconnect the ground cable and pull fuse #42

Just get an H7/94R, that's the biggest one that will fit, and replace the battery under the hood. It's worth $200 to be done with it in 20 minutes.

Going to the dealer means an appointment, a wait or drop off, then they get to it when they get to it. And, after all of that, you still get a spotty quality Mopar battery again. If the battery you buy and install yourself needs to be warrantied, just take 45 seconds to pull it out, drive to the auto parts store and back, then 45 seconds to replace it.

I use Super Start batteries from O'Reilly's, made by East Penn/Deka. Great batteries. One I bought for my pickup lasted 6 years, just replaced it a couple weeks ago. Replaced the batteries in my Jeep last year with Super Start also.

I'd say just about any battery is better than what you will get at the dealer. Also, the dealer won't put the bigger H7 in for you, only exactly what you have. And you can bet, being warranty work, you won't get the newest battery on the shelf.

After going to multiple different auto parts stores, I finally had to go to Walmart to get them to test the battery. Final voltage was 12.51 with a CCA of only 486. So its replaced now with a new Everstart 4yr battery.

I'd like to use JScan. It's downloaded to my phone, and I've this 12+8 cable and this scanner saved in my Amazon cart. Are those two pieces of hardware, in conjunction with the JScan app, all I need to get rolling?

I already have this basic scanner in my Parts Box. Could I use that one, or would I have to purchase the more expensive one linked in the preceding paragraph?

Thanks.
