For a while now, every once in a while, the Jeep would display Aux buttons temp unavailable, battery charging. So, I figured my dash cam was causing it. So I turned it off while parked so there was no drain. Well over the last couple of days it apparently has gotten worse. Today we went out and when we got in the Jeep to come back home it displayed it again. It usually doesnt at all if its driven around during the day. Would this be my battery dying or is there any other reason that could cause it before I got purchase a new one. The Jeep is slightly over a year old and has a bit over 24k miles. Thanks

Is your start/stop working? That's how I knew when my aux battery was going. It took out the main battery too. Started happening 2yrs in with about your mileage.

I have my Start/Stop Disabled and I have E-Torque so that big 48V battery "should" be just fine. I know that while running down the street I see the voltage at 13.7-14.2 generally. Once stopped, it pretty much drops to about 12.5. If any of this info helps.

Yeah, I plan to go to the parts store tomorrow to get it tested. But figured Id ask here first just to see what everyone else though. I have nothing to load test it myself. I can only test the voltage :D

My aux was bypassed when this started happening to my 2020, main battery replaced with a H7 and all was right again. Batteries are expensive enough that it might be worth a warranty replacement if you can get your dealer off their ass to do it quickly.

Getting this dealer to do anything is worse than trying to pull teeth from a great white. I dont trust those guys for anything. Im still under the impression they never really changed the outlet hose on my coolant tank.

How long does the dealer warranty their batteries for? I thought I read somewhere they are 1 yr batteries? Maybe I misread.

Didn't realize you had e-torque... so yeah, the aux battery wouldn't be the issue since you don't have one!

Yeah, as I wrote that I also thought that they're cheap enough too to say eff the warranty and make a run to Walmart.

I may just do that. I just wanted to make sure nothing else would cause the display I am seeing along with voltage levels. I have yet to get into a no start situation. I just don’t like waiting til there is a problem either

Hmm. Now I wonder if its worth the ass pain of dealing with them to get them to replace it. A 4yr from Walmart is $180.

It's the start stop battery, as others have pointed out.
I have noticed that there is always at least some draw on the system, regardless of how long it's been "off".
I have wired in a quick fitting for a trickle charger / tender system. I usually keep it plugged in when I don't plan on driving for a few days.
The Jeep dealers here told me after they replaced the battery the first time that it's just going to happen again because Jeep did a crap job designing the system and it never really turns all the way off.

Dealer just replaced both of mine under warranty on my 2021 JLURD. I’m thinking about bypassing the auxiliary right now.

I do not have an aux battery, since mine is E-Torque, I have the large 48V battery.
