Changing my ball joints right now with Dynatrac’s.

This is as straight/deep as I can get the lower in. Is this straight enough?

If it won’t go any further, is it going to make a difference?

I would want the base of the joint fully seated and flush to the steering knuckle.

That’s normal.
It will not sit flush in the bottom ball joint because the bottom C on the axle is angled. That’s why the dynatrac instructions don’t have you install the the snap ring for the bottom joint.

Source: I installed those Dynatrac joints on mine last month

Thank you so much for clarifying that…. I’ve been installing/removing/reinstalling for 2 days trying to get them flush. Now it makes sense

I did mine last month, gave me a sore back. I can not believe you installed them and then took them back out and reinstall. Oh my aching back.

Not really what you want to do. Every time you remove/install the ball joints you are wearing the bore in the inner C. The whole point of spending the extra money on the Dynatrac ball joints is they can be rebuilt in place, thus keeping that bore as pristine as possible.

If the flange on the bottom of the ujoint is flat to the mating surface of the "C", it's seated.
