So I have had this creaking going on that has been driving me crazy. My Jeep has been at the dealer for weeks now and they finally found it. The welds in the roll bar are bad. So they are sending it to a body shop to be welded another week or 2.. Do you guys think that will affect the safety of the vehicle now? It flexed back there like crazy . Is there any compensation I could get from Jeep? Or should I just get it back fixed and deal with the reality that it wasn't welded right and some body shop patched it up. Sorry for venting, I have just spent a lot of $$ on new Jl's in the last few years and this is ridiculous. I want to order a new 392, but now I am sort of turned off by Jeep quality. :{

Let them weld it up and move on. Nothing of real concern here. Don't let it get to you too much.

You have no loss as a result you really don't have a case for gain since they are going to fix your issue. Had you been in a wreck and suffered injury you would be able to seek compensation...

I did however see this am on the news that a gal had ordered Chicken MacNuggests and as she was eating it fell on her leg and burnt here severely albeit MdDonalds stated that they are kept at 150 F max and not likely to burn thru pants. But she hobbled away with $800,000k so many Order a MacNugget meal and spin the cash wheel...

Lol. I just thought maybe they would buy it back or discount a 392

It's a Jeep. Don't worry. Eventually, the oil leaking from everything will lubricate it and it'll be nice and quiet...
Oil leaks? This isn’t a 4.0L.

It’s not officially a “roll bar” and these welds being repaired can only be a good thing.

That’s a Friday at 5 weld. Try to get one that has Tuesday at 9 welds.

As it turns out, those robots don't care what day of the week it is.

Report it to the NHTSA administration. Maybe they will find more, if there is a problem with the way the robots put the parts in a jig and weld them.

Although called the silly name “sport bar”, it is roll over protection. It’s just not rated for severe off road use, like falling of Black Bear or multiple rolls down a bolder filled draw.

They are for structural support, not rollover specifically. It is legally distinct.
